The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Very productive day! Polished & waxed the winter mobile, polished & waxed the 7. Washed, polished and waxed & washed the 6. Also changed the oil & cabin air filter in the 6. I can't remember the last time i was able to polish/wax & wash the 6. It was really bad. The 6 just turned over 52,000 & she's a little over 7 & a1/2 years old. Turned out gorgeous btw:

Wanna trade our sixes? I have just close to 73,000 on mine and its and 05 but for the last 2 1/2 years its been a daily driver and I use to drive 72 miles round trip a day for work. So that's were a lot of miles come from on it. Anyways I love that blue though, my big cleaning project is the interior. Anybody know how to get into all the fine cracks, and around the shifter and e-brake?

Hahahaha! How awesome is it, Jess? 3 years in the making awesome? I'm looking forward to a ride.

It's pretty crazy lol. Can't wait to get it tuned. Went to turn around in someone's driveway and I hit the brakes right as it died and I was like ERMAGHERDDDDD where are my braaaaakes!!!! Lol.

Hopefully getting it aligned on Tuesday provided I can work out the logistics of getting the trailer to the house and someone to trailer it to north canton :) then, tune time.

Not as old or weird as the '87 turbo 626 that was posted earlier, but this guy does want more money for this mx6.

This is the third turbo mx6 that showed up on the columbus craigslist in like 2 or 3 weeks, which i though was weird since i never see the non-turbo old boxy mx6's that i assume are more common. This is also the most expensive... for the lolz.

Spent all of about 2 hours on the RX7. Spent the rest of the weekend doing other stuff and watching TV. Rough weekend for Sahlen's and yesterday's NASCAR race at Watkins was incredibly entertaining.

I think it was a great weekend for Sahlen's with an unlucky end. :( I'm still very impressed with their performance. Kansas should be another good venue for the BMW/Riley, so I hope they have another good showing.

They were driving the crap out of the 42 car! I wonder if that is what caused the failure. But man, they were just fast all-around this weekend. It's shame the 43 car went off shortly thereafter too. Not that it had a chance at a podium but a DNF is never good. Since Mazda is only running in the noncompetitive GX class I find myself rooting for Sahlen's more so than anyone else. That, and for a Gnassi loss...

Bike ride went great, took a little over 4 hours and my legs weren't that sore. Knees were kinda bad towards the end of the night so I put some ice pack on them.

Didn't do much else of note besides watching Ray Donovan since several of you guys talked about it. Great show, now I'm hooked. Also sold a couple things so more space in the garage which has now become a huge mess of car parts and random things. One day it will hold 2 cars...one day

Did you reach you Donation goal Nate? The team goal?

I'm $185.50 short right now but donations are thru the end of September. There's a couple people the have employer matches that won't post until the last day so I might be about $50 dollors closer.

I was helping out the #42 team and Dane was driving like a madman! What a disappointment, the pit stops were quick, the car was fast and everything went like clockwork! They will tear the car down and find out what caused the axle issue, I have never seen Dane so down, it had to be a mechanical failure to stop him, he was on a mission.

I got my COBB AP from i-Moto and the car is running amazing.......can't wait to see what the data logs say after I download the information. On my way to Kansas to help out i-Moto and Team Sahlen!

Also saw the new 2014 Mazda 3 in person...magazine shots and video do not do justice to this car! The interior is 1000% better, than any of the previous generations and the heads up display, makes you feel like you are in the cockpit of a F-22!

I haven't watched the race yet. It will have to wait until Andrews nap this afternoon. I know who wins but not how it all went down.

Had a semi productive weekend. Boatload of work and running around, and managed to get my oil gauges working saturday night. Now if i could get a sunday off of work so I can hit an Autox...

I like to root for Sahlen's because they are local and a relatively small team. Same reason I root for MSR. I'm with you rooting against Gnassi. I like Scott Pruett but I'm not a fan of Memo Rojas at all, and it wasn't fun watching them absolutely dominate the last couple of years.

I'm looking forward to next year. It was cool to see the picture of all the ALMS and Grand-Am lined up on the front straight.

Call in dead. LOL

I worked for a guy back in the day who would actually call about every hour or so to see if you were coming in yet. It became a running joke that if we needed time off we had to call in dead.
