The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

When I bought a set of brand new headlights for the 2 it was almost $500 even, and that was with the parts guy giving me a discount :( ridiculous!

Why don't you guys that buff your headlights take them to a shop and get them automotive clearcoated?? That should make them last longer....

I've thought about that but never stopped anywhere to get a quote.

Jeff, you can buy the eBay Depo lights for sedans (~$70 each IIRC) and swap the lenses with yours then sell the housing to someone doing a retrofit.

True and thought about this in the past. Might be worth looking into now that I'm considering a retrofit. What good is a retrofit with bad ass hazed lenses. Eeeeewwww

Update on the tire balancer and mounting machines. I checked them both out this Sunday, the balancer turns on and seems to work okay, but I'm no expert. The mounting machine uses pneumatics and couldn't get hooked up so I'm not sure if it will work. But the owner said $250 for the balancer and my friend talked him into giving me the mounting machine with the balancer.

I'm not positive the mounting machine will mount low-profile tires, but the price is right to give it a try. I am planning on picking them up this weekend.

Sure....after I pay a shop to mount tires.... :p

Marc, Will and I are just talking about that and wondering if there was someone in the crew who knows how that can teach us. You're the man, baby!

I've used one too. If you ever need help when I'm around.

I've done them by hand and with my dad's machine. It's a fun wrestling match with his.

I'd love to see how to work the tire machine. I even have two spare 14" daisies with tires I can donate to the cause if you guys want to mount/dismount tires without worrying about scratching up your own wheels.

Will and I were also talking about some practice wheels would be nice. Thanks, Jess!

We might have to have a tire mounting/dismounting meet so everyone can learn how to use this machine. Haha.

(And just get together to drink a few brews.)

I have a p5 rim that will never get any use otherwise if you want it.

And while cats are mounting/balancing their tires (assuming everything works correctly, of course) it would be nice to donate a couple bucks to Will for storing the unit and using his electricity/compressed air for the machines. :)

We'll have to get together with Marc and Jess next weekend and put these things through their paces.

Of course you do. You ALWAYS have plans. Lulz. I'm sure we can schedule a day when we're all free. I'll get with you guys via text so not clutter up this thread.

Well this topic isn't really relevant to the C-bus guys (since you're too far away, it's not that I don't like you. Except for Nick. I don't like him) or anyone not interested in the machine. It's kinda like talking about sports. I would've left the room. haha

WTF BFF? I've always considered you like my version of Amy from The Big Bang Theory.

Any donations should go towards the purchaser of this equipment! Having it at my house is a convenience haha.
