The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I've seen people say paying them off establishes credit, and then others say if you carry a balance it establishes credit.

Yes and no.. It is all about how much of a balance you carry vs your limit and also length of ownership. There are other things too, but those are the most common reasons for a CC to affect your credit.

we tried to clean my EGR valve earlier in the week, and after a couple days of bizarre idling my car's still the same -_-

excuse me while I go home and change my pants

PPRE's 6B... yee it's pretty cool. I think they're putting it in an rx3- it's gona' be a drag car.
I like their 4-rotor jet boat...

...and for my idle issues, i've got no codes or anything. I did change my front/j-pipe recently, but i can't detect any leaks and the idle was the same before the pipe change. There's another valve on the throttle body i believe i should clean... IAC valve or something, maybe that'll fix it. Car runs fine, doesn't seem rough or anything, only problem is sometimes it likes to idle really low, like less than 500 (rarely... usually it's between 500 or 700, but sometimes it dips pretty low)

got a set of mazdaspeed brake and gas pedals off eBay :)

So question of the day...You have $15,000, do you

A. fix/repair/build the underegineerd 11 year old car that has some surface rust and rusty bolts but a ton of parts already in the garage, is somewhat rare and was fun to drive before it was a headache because of your own doing?

or

B. Sell/trade-in the 11 year old car and find something used with about 20k miles on it like a ms3 or mz3 w/ 2.5?

I'm starting to fall in love with the MSP again but don't really have a lot of time to work on it. I'll have to work on it no matter what to be able to sell it if I want to get anything decent in return.

For what its worth, one of the reasons I decided to keep mine is because its rare, and in good shape (I did seriously consider selling it). Then again, mine isn't giving me so much trouble yet...

I'd use part of the money to fix it, and save the rest

better question, do you really want a car payment or continue to drive the wheels off a car that is paid off?
