The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'm not very technical or knowledgeable but, yes, the seal failed. The whole system is screwy, honestly. And mazda knows about it. They even sent out letters to MS3, MS6, and CX-7 owners that gave them an extended 15,000 miles onto the warranty. Yet when you bring it up, dealers act like they know nothing about it and won't do anything. It's frustrating really, and I am glad I am beyond the warranty point on my MS3

Tell me about it... I got the paperwork for the extended warranty when I was already 5k over it. Same with the VVT actuator warranty extension. Thanks a lot Mazda..... *grumble grumble*

no this was just an issue on 07 and 08 speed 3's. the main reason for a 08.5 adjustment was to fix the turbo smoking issues.

Don't forget the 06 and 07 Mazdaspeed6. Same exact motor and turbo.....

I wonder how much of that is from people trying to beat on their cars and not knowing how to shift.... Then playing dumb when enough people b**** about it.

John Heer had the issue, replaced under warranty after bitching. When I first started noticing, I switched to MT-90 and it was fine till the end...

I'm sorry, but on an MS3? Same crap they did w/ the MSP diffs. Make it strong enough to handle the abuse that they advertise Mazdaspeeds are built for. It's a butt-ton cheaper than replacing / rebuilding them when they inevitably fail. That's one of the few gripes I have with Mazda.

THAT'S the damn shop! I know it was posted in here before, but I couldn't find it...

They do all kinds of of custom alignments on cool cars, right?
Yep, They are a little pricey but they know their stuff and are some of the most professional people I have ran across. They ask if you want stuff to original spec or to your own liking.

What kind of pricey?

They are on the correct side of town for me so I might give them a shot unless they are ridiculously expensive.

new tires are here!

I'm definitely going to give them a try next time I lower something.

I thought you were keeping the wagon stock?

Conrads in Akron (too far for most of you guys) also does a good job and will align to your liking, with lowered cars and will give you a print out. And are nice guys to deal with. I've been there 3 or 4 times so far.

They charged me around 80 but that was with stock suspension and to stock specs. Sure it would be more for people with after market suspensions

I just made an appointment at White Wheel. It's much closer to me than the places in Akron. They charge $80 an hour.

I'm probably going to go with -1.5 camber all around, max caster in the front, and zero toe all around.

What kind of camber arms do you have in the back? -1.5 all round is a good choice!

I have the stock camber arms in the back. I was going to put the Mazdaspeed ones on my recent order from Mazda Motorsports but I forgot. So whether they will be able to achieve -1.5 in the rear will be questionable I think.

Don't see the movie "Drive". It's bloody terrible. Tessa downloaded it thinking it was a cool guy, action flick about a getaway driver. It's a super slow chick flick with 3 violent scenes, some fake titties and one or two cars that are stock with overdubbed V8 sounds. Ack.

Happy weekend indeed!

(sadbanana)bad news guys and gals.........

I did not win the mega millions
