The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Im trying to take my jbarone short throw plate off to switch to the shortcut. Does anyone have any idea how to detach the cable arm from the ball stud? Its up higher and theres no place directly underneath to apply pressure to pop the cable off. Im already down one pair of pliers! Haha

Any ideas?

It doesn't top out at 100, and she was probably only around 4k lol. The 2's 5th gear is full of fail unless you've already got some speed, then it has no issues. Around 4k is where the power starts to come in so 80-100 is actually a lot of fun weaving thru traffic lol.

Just because:

We had her speedo stuck at 100 mph for over 3 miles on a "closed portion of a road" and it wouldn't go any faster. Maybe 101mph :) It felt like it took a mile before we got to 80.

I would love to buy back the Enkei's from you considering I really didn't want to sell them in the first place, but I now already have 3 sts of rims for my MSP the way it is. That's a no go for me bro, sorry.

I'm just going to look away from the talk of unsafe speeds on public roads. (Against the rules on here) ;)

And yes. I'm not exactly sure what caused the issue. Could be that the ECU went stupid and needed a reset, could be the spark plug wires, could be the new vacuum line routing I did. I dunno what it was. All I know is that I can go wide open at 7 psi like nothing ever happened.

so she's running again, like she should??

one of the things that I did was the culprit. Not sure which, but I have an idea. Gonna fill her up with fresh gas and drive it to the meet tonight.

spotty ignition from bad plug wires + maps not made for 750cc injectors, IMO

ECU was shipped from FM to the previous owner with the baseline 750cc map... the same one that I have on the car now. Whoever he had tuning it ****** it up, but still had most of the correct data in it. I had it tuned, and he started from the crap map to build off of. For S&G's, I put the OST Dyno map on at lunch to test it. Ran fine. The baseline is smoother though.

lol. got em.

and i got very lucky today. i might not need to sell the wheels. my dad randomly came across a ton of junk batteries and took them to the junk yard with my scrap metal and it came out to about 275$. he knows i need the money so he put it all in my account. it was during his business hours so he got paid to do it, so he doesnt really care whether he has the money from the batteries or not. i just got very lucky.

I don't have any without seeing it for myself. Did etipp help you with your downpipe yet? Seems he'd have a good idea of what to do.

Side note- what's the difference with the parts your switching out? I'm not familiar with the shifter setups on those cars.

Yeah we got his test pipe fixed. Hey Geoff get something long and put it underneath the cable and use two hands on either side and jerk up real quick to pop it off. I know this may sound wierd but it should work.
