The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Steph bought a white piggy bank for the baby, and painted it purple. I had to clear it for protection. lol

And you know my stance on iPods, so I won't get back into it and cause a bunch of butt-hurtness to happen. :D

I took the BMW to marcs work place to put it in the lift, its not as bad as I was expecting but when I was going to leave, it didn't start... After doing some troubleshooting turns out the fuel pump is dead, and so it starts... As troubleshooting, I uninstalled the alarm and other stuff, looks like it had a phone at some point as well

what trouble shooting did you do to figure out it was the fuel pump?

for one, Marc had carb fluid thingy that helped it start for a few seconds, that pretty much confirmed it wasn't getting fuel. We still verified spark and unhooked the fuel pressure regulator, it didn't pump out anything, took the alarm off just in case, and from the service manual I verified the transfer pump first, then bypassed the fuel pump relay to have it run all the time. I verified power to the pump and as I was doing that it came on for a second to two a few times, car started for a second after that but then it dies. It's really weird that it decided to die when I go to Marc's, it's been working fine so far.

Did a couple things with the Bavaria today. Replaced the exhaust hangers, swapped the rear springs, finally, and scrubbed the whole exterior of the car. Started with Purple Power degreaser, did under the hood and the lip of the trunk. Then did the whole car twice. Then washed it with the Corsa car wash soap. Damn thing gleams in the light now.

Damn that's shiny!! I watched phen work on the Bavaria, went on a motorcycle ride, then ripped the muffler off the 2. For now it has the titanium one I had on it last summer but I was working on fitting the massive Greddy I got from Evan but ran out of light and supplies.

Looking good. Did you wax it or anything?

The beast is alive and I'm back. Wow all of those parts and some tightening really woke that car up. The best part was cruisin around with no front bumper cover and watching the cop stare at us as we went through the intersection. Buttdyno approved. Can't wait to dyno it again at Mid-Ohio and see the difference. I just need to fine a 626 EGR pipe (longer than the MSP) so I don't throw a cel.

^^^ Wait, what? You're buying another one? I thought you wanted a bike?

Corey, glad to hear you and AJ got everything buttoned up (for the most part).

I went to a lame jam session yesterday. It's tough jamming with cats when you're an elitist and have more talent than guitars, pedals and amps. This one guitarist had so many pedals I think he was trying to mask the fact he couldn't play, and after 10 years of playing? Oh my... Phen could shred that fella a new one-know-what. Oh well, back to the drawing board. I'm a picky bastard. haha

Lol, I do want a bike. But it's either bike or car payment, not both! (the miata is cheap and insurance is even cheaper!)

You should meet my friend Jeremy... he's a pretty good guitar player. At least I think so, lol. Wait, this guy's name wasn't Jeremy was it? haha

This cat's name was Kevin. heh-heh. What kind of music does Jeremy play and how long as he been playing? I'm more into funk/groove stuff than rock/metal... But if he's decent it would be worth having a jam session indeed. :)

Evan's pretty good. He serenades me on the regular. It's really cute.

Is anyone looking for some tires? I have two Dunlop SP Sport 2050 in 225/40-18 with good tread and two General Altimax HP in 205/40-17 with great tread. Not looking for much out of them. Just looking to make a bit towards my future fuel pump purchase. Anyone in need?

Umm I'm not sure how long he's been playing I've known him for a few years and he's been in a few bands. Mostly rock covers....

His old band, I think there's music here but the iPhone doesn't see it.... http://m.myspace.com/home.wap?bfd=webnext&isredirected=true#myspace.music
