anybody got any ideas why my caliper is sticking again?

I replaced it probably about a year ago, and lubed everything up really well...but its getting VERY hot and squealing during daily usage...just like it did before I replaced everything..
 
Because ohio winter? Take the pins out and re-grease them, that's like a 30 minute job at most.

Teal wheels are hot, haven't seen the latest episode of Top Gear (usually catch it on BBC), I'm with Andrew on re-greasing the caliper pins Wannabe, and as much as you think you are prepared for a baby...you are not!
 
I'm not prepared and wasn't really freaking out til about 20 minutes ago. I don't want to gross anyone out but things are happening so it's going to be sooner than later.
 
I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing Nate is posting on 247 when his wife is leaking... haha
 
lol, no she's not in labor yet. Her water hasn't broke, it's something that happens before that but means she's close to that. I won't be on here when she is and maybe not for a day or two after
 
Oh, c'mon....you know there's going to be a lot of down time in the hospital! haha

Unless it's one of those quick, wham bam thank you ma'am labors when the kid pops right out. I'm sure she's praying for that one!
 
Woot! I'm pretty sure I know what you are referring to Nate! GL to you and Amber!!! And you haz interwebz on phone now, right....no excuses. haha

I know this is going out on a limb here but I've had similar issues with Neons before.. the brake hose collapses on the inside and causes the brakes to stick. It forms a one-way valve basically. But I wouldn't think on a car made in the 2000's (unsure which car you are talking about) it would deteriorate that fast.... Unfortunately there isn't a real good way to determine if the brake hose is busted unless you rule out everything else. Just throwing it out there.

My ex's car had this issue and it showed itself on a trip up to Sandusky once. He had Hawk HP+ pads. Oh what a fun time that was. It would stick, then unstick, then stick again... we got halfway to Sandusky and had to turn around once we figured out what was going on. The rotor was BLUE. Made it back using mostly engine braking, lol.

on the brake issue:
its on the Speed6

i'll regrease the pins again and see if that helps.
 
Finally decided to pull the trigger and bought a set of Nitto NT01 tires in 235/40/18 :)

Now I just need to buy the BC coilovers and I should be able to race at Mid-Ohio in April...CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

My P5 did that too. Pain in the farging ass.
