The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Forget that noise. We had ours surgically removed like the parasitic tumors they were / are! :P

Sweet....no feeling like it in the world dude!

Oooo, that's nice and I like how they try to use the stock features to make the ad 'pop'. haha

It hasn't helped that we haven't had alot of work today so I'm just sitting here thinking about it.

Yea I kinda laughed at that but why am I finding all these super nice ones after if get my p5? I paid a fair amount less for mine over this one but mine has 2x the millage and little things that need fixed here. Parts are still less than they're asking price but I but they don't have rust issues yet

you will almost always be able to find a better deal when looking at cars after buying yours... way to stop feeling unhappy about yours is to just stop looking.. hahaha

very true, as long as I get 3-4 years with just routine maitanance out of it I feel like I'll get my monies worth.

One way I guess would be to lift the car up, take the wheel off, step on the brake and see if the caliper retracts after you release the brakes. You could probably do it with the caliper off of the rotor... but I'd be cautious as I don't know how much one pump will push the piston out. Could screw you if it comes out too far.

Since we're on the subject of brakes, the p5 is starting to have a creaky dry rubbery stretching sound at slower speeds when coming to a stop. Any thoughts?

I am developing a grind when stopping. Rotors look iffy, pads (at least the outside ones) look good. Going to look into a Mazda6 upgrade. Not sure about the e-brake cable issue though.

Simple solution... only do the fronts. Problem solved.

Or just get better pads, and better tires and don't **** with an "upgrade"

My goal is to be able to swap 17" wheels between the P5 and the 3. Psudo wheel ***** if you will.
