The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

P Five = pfizzle

6 Wagon = 6wizzle

Trailblazer = Tbizzle (Tbeezy is my preferred choice. hehe)

What the hell is Msizzle??? I don't have a M6? hahaha

It's ok Wes, I appreciate the effort!

How was your test drive?

Yep, I strained the brain all day coming up with that one!

The test drive was good. It's hard to get a feel for the car without pushing it on some curvy roads, but that wouldn't tell me a whole lot as Chris' is much different. My NA was very raw, and I really liked that about it. It was just you and a machine, and no junk. The MSM definitely feels a lot more civilized and I guess almost boring in comparison. I'm just comparing the way that they feel while driving them, not performance or anything like that. It doesn't sound like it's about to fall apart over bumps, it's quiet (mine sounded like a chainsaw on NOS), the suspension is soft (compared to the 626), it doesn't vibrate (88 duro engine mounts on the 626, lulz), the shifter is sloppy (my NA was very tight), you can't see the drive shaft when you look down, you don't become asphyxiated by the exhaust leak, and it has side mirrors, so it's a lot more complete than mine was! Mine was more like a road legal (ehh, not really) go-kart.

It's a tighter fit on the interior as well, but I think a different seat could help that. I slouch a lot, so the roof isn't an issue for my head, but the leg room may be. Another thing I noticed on mine and the MSM is the pedals are so close, my shoe get stuck when I put my left foot on the dead pedal taking the foot back up to use the clutch pedal. My Chucks were always my favorite to wear when driving mine.

I told Chris I'm ready to move forward, so I'm just waiting to hear from him.

Depending on tire size and what you lower it on. I had rubbing issues with 17x7 +45 and 215/40-17 tires on Tein S-techs and Tokico Blues. I rolled the rears and didn't have any more problems with any off the wheels I got to play with. You might be able to get away without rolling fenders with a 205 series tire. And from what I've read, the S-techs were a mild drop. More research to be had!

The lowering plan has changed a few times. First I was buying Eibach prokit from Nate. Then I was going to trade struts and springs with Josh. I am not sure if now since Josh sold his car with the lowering springs still on it if I am going to be able to buy the Eibachs from Nate because he was going to use them on his P5.
As far as wheels and tires are concerned I will just look for stock 17" wheels and not have to worry about rubbing or rolling the quarters. Then buy 2 sets of all season tires most likely 205-50-17's and go from there. I also need to find 2 MZ3 wheels for the pair of Blizzaks I got from Steve in Cincy.

Not to start the ol' 5 page insurance debate again, but what do you guys pay for your MSM's. I'm sure mine will be more since I'm under 25, but I don't have any wrecks, and my one ticket should be off by now. I think it was 2 years ago.

I forgot, I'm still on my family's plan, and the lady re-arranges who is the primary driver on each car so it's the most affordable. I suppose my mom could have the MSM as her primary (50's female should be the cheapest for something like that) and I might be on the Prius, Freestyle, Rolla, or Yota. It should be less of an issue that way. Phone calls to be made on Monday!

I don't think my rates went up from the ticket. I just need to stay clean.
