It's ok Wes, I appreciate the effort!
How was your test drive?
Yep, I strained the brain all day coming up with that one!
The test drive was good. It's hard to get a feel for the car without pushing it on some curvy roads, but that wouldn't tell me a whole lot as Chris' is much different. My NA was very raw, and I really liked that about it. It was just you and a machine, and no junk. The MSM definitely feels a lot more civilized and I guess almost boring in comparison. I'm just comparing the way that they feel while driving them, not performance or anything like that. It doesn't sound like it's about to fall apart over bumps, it's quiet (mine sounded like a chainsaw on NOS), the suspension is soft (compared to the 626), it doesn't vibrate (88 duro engine mounts on the 626, lulz), the shifter is sloppy (my NA was very tight), you can't see the drive shaft when you look down, you don't become asphyxiated by the exhaust leak, and it has side mirrors, so it's a lot more complete than mine was! Mine was more like a road legal (ehh, not really) go-kart.
It's a tighter fit on the interior as well, but I think a different seat could help that. I slouch a lot, so the roof isn't an issue for my head, but the leg room may be. Another thing I noticed on mine and the MSM is the pedals are so close, my shoe get stuck when I put my left foot on the dead pedal taking the foot back up to use the clutch pedal. My Chucks were always my favorite to wear when driving mine.
I told Chris I'm ready to move forward, so I'm just waiting to hear from him.
