The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I think I'm going to stick with a BPV, but get a aftermarket Samco or something like it. From what I've heard for my setup the BPV works better when running on stock or low boost with no major adjustments to the motor. I could really care less about the sound it makes. Whatever makes it go like hell is alright with me. Your thoughts?
My current set-up is vta but I want to change back to a recirculating system because i've read the same thing. I actually miss the turkey.
You can make you bov recirculate.

that's my plan, just need a welder and to learn how to use it for the intake pipe. Already have the fitting for the bov

DAMN! The plot thickens!

Dealership dropped a GRAND off the price of the wagon....down to $5,995! Makes me think there's something wrong with it, but they wouldn't sell a lemon like that and take a chance on damaging their reputation. (at least I wouldn't imagine lol) They're probably just trying to move it before sending it off to auction. Thinking about putting a deposit down to hold it for me until I get things figured out here in the next few days. As long as it's refundable...I just may tomorrow!

Are you going to trade in your 5 then?

If we can agree on a price/deal, I just may, then part out. Evan's still trying to put something together on it, and he's all I've got right now as far as private party. No hits on here or CL yet, but it's only been a day.

Working at a dealer, any ideas on the drastic price drop? Should I be cautious?

he could easily get 6k for his car if he sold it.

Got a link?

We test drove the car last Thursday, then my P5 got pissed and took a s*** on us!

The car felt really nice overall though. Drove and rode nice, but needed an alignment. He said they may even do it because it's a safety thing. My wife was SO surprised in the difference the year/model made. This car just felt a WHOLE lot newer/better. It was dark and rainy, but the body didn't seem bad. Only spot of rust I found was the inside edge of the rear hatch. Engine bay looked normal for the year/mileage, and the interior appeared in good shape too. Seats were COMFY! One of the buttons on the wheel were worn off, but I'm not going to be picky for $6000.

Before any deal is made, I'd still have to go check it out in the daylight, and get it up on a lift to inspect for rust/damage.

Looks decent. Looks like there's some discoloration on the hatch above the license plate. Or it could be a shadow. The biggest thing I see is the CEL is on. That could be why they reduced it so quickly.

Have you seen it yet?

No CEL when I drove it? Maybe it just popped on though? Gonna call the guy in the a.m. to get the scoop...

edit - I see what you're talking about now...car's running w/CEL on. Definitely something I'll have to ask about. Maybe they tried to pull a fast one on me and cleared it just before test drive...

Same thoughts. As long as it's not rotting away underneath, I may still go for it. I love how clean my P5 is, but a better car in general is more important.

I know but somewhere along the line Americans got infatuated with SUV's.....there are soooooo many nice wagons I'd love to see hit our shores!!! And the icing on the cake is a 2.0 diesel is available!
