In dealer 6 wagon news, I called the guy today. He gave me a list of parts they replaced on the car. Battery, a coil, thermostat w/gasket, couple plugs (not sure why not all 6?), and an oil change. A bad coil could've explained the CEL in the pic.
I put it all on the line for my neighbor today. All he has to do is give me the word, and I'll run to the bank, get a loan, and buy his car. Then part my car out, use that money to make the loan payments, wait for Evan to come up with the cash to buy my car at a reduced price when it's stock, then pay the loan off. Maybe knowing that he has a buyer for his car will help him make up his mind, because he still sounds like he's on the fence. In a series of texts, he'll tell me about all the MS6's he's finding and how he's going to take a look at them, then the next text he'll say how hard it is to give up a great car w/no payment. I totally understand, because I'm in the same boat, but I kind of need a definite answer here! I don't want him to waffle for a few weeks, then decide he wants to keep the car, then the one at the dealer is gone too, and I'm back to square one. There aren't many nice 6 wagons in the area in my price range!
