The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Open road m/t fo sho, city driving with the stop and go bulls*** a/t FTMFWB.

I've always dreamed of a car that could do both. You can drive it manual with a clutch and shifter. When you're tired or in traffic, push a button, the clutch pedal retracts out of the way, and the car becomes automatic.

If only I was an engineer.....lol

I was thinking about that last night. I was watching Top Gear and they were talking about how the sequential boxes aren't very good in the city either.

I'm not sure I could ever trade a manual for an automatic of any kind though.

I definitely agree...I'll probably drive manual cars until I'm very old lol.

If for some reason I had to get an automatic car...it would need to have a Direct-Shift Gearbox. My dad's Audi TT has one and it's definitely fun as hell...it shifts RIDICULOUSLY fast. But it's still not as much fun as a manual transmission.

the "sportmatic" in the p5 is ok, but i do miss shifting the msp and occasionally find my self stomping the floor borad with my left foot looking for the clutch.

^ I do that when I get in my girlfriends Mazda2. Duh, no clutch!

I stomp on the brake pedal and attempt to throw everyone and everything in the car through the windshield whenever I drive an automatic :)

I've done that too, but haven't hit the brake in the p5. maybe it has a smaller pedal?

and just to vent a little, There's a company doing a background check on me because I'm a finalist for a position and 3 times now they've asked my to send them info on my self. Makes me question how good they are at checking backgrounds if they can't find these things themselves. end venting...for now.

I don't mind the automatic in the Milly since it's not sporty at all.

Speaking of which, anyone want to buy it for $4,500? New motor, trans and tons of other new parts. And you'd be helping me out so I can buy Josh's P5 and turning it into my project car. :)
