The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

well I thought I was gonna get my car back today but they are waiting on a part, the more I drive the 3 the more I like it...

Nate, if you part out your badass MSP and buy a 3 I'm going to slap you. Haha

Or at least let me get dibs on your parts first. Haha! Yea, I'm that guy.

lol, vulture. It's more of just the quiet while cruising and not worry if I let off the gas is it going to die or rev like a ricer at the light. And after pricing everything if I were to get a 3 it would be a speed but that'll have to wait till next spring at the earliest. But Amber is going to drive me to and from work when I start my new job because it's right in the middle of her job and out apartment so that will give me time to sort the issues out and we can save a little on gas

quote of the day from Marc P while discussing Grand-Am events: "I was at the season opener and I'll be at the season closer. I'm like an oreo cookie without the cream." lol

I hear ya, Nate. That's why the Milly is staying stock, nice and quiet, reliable and low-key. The P6 is plenty obnoxious for the other side of my Gemini nature.

Could you guys just get a used 3 as a stock DD? Or would you rather sell the MSP and buy a Speed3 and mod that instead? Or are mods even in your future anymore?

Amber needs a new car and wants an SUV, I'm leaning towards a Subi Forrester right now and her car needs come first. I would sell or trade in the msp and wouldn't mod much whatever I got, just springs, and maybe an intake. The real modding would take place on my Camaro some day and I don't see a need for me to have 3 cars just for me (although in my dream world I'd have atleast 50).

I'm going to try the silencer whenever I get the msp back to see if that makes it better. I love the msp not having a car payment so demodding some of it might be the way I go, but I have to keep all the cf goodies :)

Subi Forrester

I've always wanted one since that fateful day in 7th grade math class (I remember exactly where I was, lol) when I saw the new ad for the turbocharged Forester. It had a list of all of the cars that it was faster than, including some bmw, a boxter, audi TT, etc.

I love not having payments on either of my vehicles. :p That highly outweighs any unlikely repairs that they made need, also.

Just in case any of you might not have seen this, we need between 2 and 10 more players for a Ohio Mazda fantasy football league.

The Forester's downfall is the fact it still has a four-speed automatic. They suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. And the 2.5's pop head gaskets too.

I wish I had a more comfortable everyday car. I love the way my car has turned out, but sometimes I miss a quiet, smooth ride. I keep going back and forth on what I should do next. It sucks. (lol2)

Having a quiet, simple car is nice. I love my versa because of that. I also love the warranty! But it's really a matter of time before stuffgets done to it :D. Sean keeps fiddling with small stuff, lol. It just got a K&N drop in filter, wooh. I don't think we could ever keep a car stock!

define "suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck", like they go bad or they just are geared to to take the fun out of driving?

Who drinks Yuengling at 6:33 in the morning? This guy (beer)

they are geared badly. Lots of hunting when going up hills.

I had the same problem, then I got an MSM... best decision ever :)

I keep thinking, should I get a beater and keep the 3 as my weekend toy? Or should I turn it back to stock and get a Miata/S2000? Or should I just get rid of it and get something new? Or should I stop these shenanigans and keep driving my car?

It's very perplexing......

it was painful so take my car apart after so much effort of putting it together, but trust me the trade was totally worth it. You will loose some practicality, and it would be best if you get a winter beater but so far I don't regret it
