The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

For you guys who use HAWK pads, let me know when and if you need them, as Andrew Racing will offer Team Ohio as nice discount. Have a great day.......

Niiiiice. I have Hawk HPS's pads all around and while the fronts have about 1/4 life left I'll be ordering some soon. Thanks, Marlon.

This weather is the reason I leave my snow tires on the car till some time in april.
I am so sick of plowing snow

i think i need to change my pads for REAL this time ... soon. i'm hoping to hold out a bit for better weather though ... and then we can figure out a time for you peoples to help me ... again.

winter tires aren't just for bad weather. The get better grip when it's below 40 degrees than regular tires. but like i said above, I don't know anything. (poke)

Just an FYI, if you ordered Piloti's we wil be distributing them at the Winking Lizard Meet in Independence this Sunday @ 5:00PM....so come and get your shoes and have a few beers with us and shoot the s***

Poor Chris, always getting razzed for that interfooler...

I've been thinking a lot lately about how most people don't really care about how well you drive your car, it's all about how much money you've put into it in parts. Kinda strange. Like all these great cars on the forum tht have never or will ever see a track day or even a fun run. Then what's the point? Hard parking? Boo.

and yet your shelling how much money into yours after just 1 hyperdrive???

look the beauty of modding is building the car the way YOU want it, not how other people think you should... not all people want to put all that money and effort and work into a car to make it what they wanted/envisioned it to be, only to wreck it on a track day and see all their efforts, money, blood, sweat and sometimes tears go down the drain

this elitist "track car or nothing" attitude in here lately has really rubbed some people the wrong way... your actions and attitudes are no better than (dare i say worse) the slammed folks that we all used to be annoyed with. because you guys actions are pushing away friends, theirs werent...
once you guys get it through your heads that not everyone wants/has a desire to race and you are excepting of that and not showing this attitude of build it for race or not at all... this thread and group will become like it used to, until then its going to stay divided and you guys will continue to push people (myself included) away

sorry if i piss some of you off but i felt it needed to be said and ive kept my mouth shut for far too long

I can never tell if you're being a smartass or not, Levi.

But exactly my point. Just that one Hyperdrive, a measly 20mins on track, made me want much, much more and spend more time on track. I've wasted so much time just driving around on the streets with all these other idiot public drivers with my modified cars that I'm smacking myself saying "Why haven't I done this earlier?". I've got the bug and I'll be spending more time and money to be on track, especially once the new engine is sorted. -cheers.

If you run, you run if you don't, you don't! It isn't an "elitist" thing at all, it is all about what you learn at these events. These events show you and your car limitations in an controlled enviornment where you are least likely to have a major mishap. What you learn here, you can easily take what you learn on the track and then apply that knowledge while out on the streets. If you felt I was singling you out Levi, I was not, I just wanted to see if you wanted to join us on track, I am not going to try to beat someone down to get them to soemthing they daon't want to do. If you look at the entire content of what Evan said, he referred to others who don't venture out to "fun runs" as well. We've seen you at these fun runs, and few autocrosses.

I apologize to you and any others who feel that I have an "elitist" attitude towards other who don't track their car. If I had such an attitude, then obviously I would not atttend any events or meets that has nothing to do with racing. I enjoy the BS'ing with everyone, wheter they track their cars or not. Hopefully, this will not turn into something that it isn't.

Wow, dude.

I'm a total freakin newb to track days and don't know jack. I guess the anticipation for warmer weather got to me and I really want to drive so I just was speaking before thinking (or in this case, typing). I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else in here. I was referring to trailer queens anyway, cars that are spotless because they never get driven. I know you drive Whitney and are damn good at it. So I apologize.

Bottom line, I like everyone in here or else I wouldn't offer my half of the garage, tools and weekends to work on your cars. I didn't mean to offend anyone or have some kind of "slammed" elitist mentality. I'll keep it to my thoughts to myself from now on. No worries, mate. :)

Sorry for the posts and now back to our normally scheduled programming of randomness.
