The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I actually wanted to try V1, since V2 I think is too much like stock. But hopefully it will hold the boost a little better (or not if my OEM one is fine) and gives that nice little jerk and sound. Oh, and Washington State is SO FAR away! That's where my wheels were shipped from, and it took 8 business days or so, although I am sure a little intake should get here slightly faster...

I had the turbosmart, loved it. HKS also sounds good, never heard the forge one though

Ugh. My dad is such a ricer...

there's a little ricer in all of us...

Just curious: Does anyone one here use Progressive for their auto insurance, and are you happy with them?

I do. Never had a problem with them. So far every year my payments keep dropping in price. Score.

I use progressive, They have been good in my one clain.
Nationwide sucks ass! overpriced and shady. My mom's basement flooded about two years ago and nationwide wouldn't cover it because "it was a pre-existing condition". My mom has owned the house since '77, how can a broken water pipe (covered in the policy) be pre-existing unless it was broke and leaking before '77? When I had them for car insurance they gave me one rate for a car then it would be alot more once i bought it (i gave the vin # so they could be accurate) and they lied about when tickets would drop off my record. On top of all that they weaseled their way out of paying for hurricane katrina victims claims.

State Farm. Some broad backed into me on the road (that's right, stopped in the road and backed into my car) and they were pretty quick to repair it without any problems. I've had them for about 6 years now. Geico and Progressive before that.

I haven't had any of those problems thankfully. When I did have my accident last year, I called my agent (also a family friend) and everything went smoothly. I don't want to lose that instant helpline that I have, but I can have the exact same coverage with Progressive and save almost $400 per year. i just want to make sure that saving money won't mean losing good care.

My brother had Geico before and he wasn't happy with them, so he switched to Nationwide too. I don't think I would go with State Farm after they were busted for using inferior knock-off parts to fix cars back in the 1990s.

nationwide uses used parts unless they can't and try not to tell you about it

Really?? Allstate tried to pull that one over on me too, but the guy at the shop told them to send him a new one instead.

How do you find out if a company does that or not?

i found out about nationwide cause they ordered p5 stuff from a junkyard (2 different times) and the shop had to send it back. i think they all try to do that now.

Well, Kevin is on his way over and we're finally going to do his engine swap. Nothing fancy though, just a direct 1.8l swap out. It's a lousy weekend to be in the garage but thank goodness for Phens propane heater and shop lights! Wish us luck. -Lewis Motorsports.

the Lewis Motorsports reputation is riding on this swap, no pressure

Haha! Thanks, Nate...

Day 1 went pretty well so far. Engine harness is off and everything is soaked in PB Blaster overnight ready to be drained and pulled in the morning. So far it's looking good. This will be my 4th swap so it's not too intimidating. But it's nice that Kevin's Protege is my guinea pig so I'll see how to swap out my FS-DE when the KL is ready to go in. tee-hee

Don't hear much from Kev on here anymore...I wish I could swap an engine, but not in 40 degree weather!

edit: still going turbo, or no?

I work outside @ the Toledo airportloading frieght for BAX Global. It has already been below 30. The other day w/the wind chill it was 23 out.
