The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

yup, street circuit for sure, also why the track doesn't flow as well-hence wes's comment. I like V8...they are not FI, are they? At times I think I hear them whining, but I think it is just because they are in a large group....

and yes, Nascar blows, IEO: In Everyone's Opinion
although I tend to watch superspeedway and short track a lil....ooops

1.5 hours to go on my bid for a bpv

which bpv did you decide on?

Forge Motorsport BPV. It's silver, used...hoping to pick it up for $72-80 shipped (depending on bidding, my max is set at $80). I just hope this dude isn't a flake...
You get your intake yet?

I was looking at the Forge BPV, is the one you're bidding on V1 or V2? A lot of people don't like the V1 due to it sounding like swords haha. I guess the V2 fixes that issue.

Intake's on its way, supposed to be here next Monday. Idk why it would take that long since it left Washington State November 1st.

I actually wanted to try V1, since V2 I think is too much like stock. But hopefully it will hold the boost a little better (or not if my OEM one is fine) and gives that nice little jerk and sound. Oh, and Washington State is SO FAR away! That's where my wheels were shipped from, and it took 8 business days or so, although I am sure a little intake should get here slightly faster...

Hmm...well I'm not sure how many stops it takes, but it normally shows up in the tracking updates if it stops at a UPS location. The last update was leaving Portland, OR at 6PM on Nov1. I did a quick google maps and a straight drive from there takes about 40 hours, less than 2 days. So I would assume 4 days is sufficient time lol. Idk, I'm just anxious and I probably should have bought the quicker shipping since my parents paid (angel) HAHA

Btw...anyone need speakers? I got some brand new 6x8 Infiniti Kappa Components and a set of 2ways lol. Those were my xmas present last year, but I was too busy to install them. And when I finally was about to install them in my Mazda 6, I decided to sell it and get the Speed. I should probably sell those, along with the Braces and parts I had in the 6. I almost forgot about this stuff...sitting in the basement collecting dust!

Lastly...I decided I probably need tires for the winter. Just checked my Eagle GT A/S and they are barely legal :( I thought they'd last longer, but the amount I drive is insane. I changed my oil on 9-21 at 25k miles. Then at 30k, I had to change the oil again, but only a month had gone by!!!! I guess the PA Mountain Run and Mohican Fun Run racked up the miles haha

I had that BPV installed on my car and it worked well at all stages of my build. I'm sure you won't have any problems at all.

Nice! I like how the font matches!

Thanks for the reassurance. At this stage of my build all I've got is a Corksport Intake, LOL! I won't lie, I just wanted the louder sound (I hope it is more audible) and the fact of knowing a metal piece is holding boost, possibly better than the OEM plastic piece. I have no reasons to suspect my OEM one is faulty, but I bought a turbocharged car and want it to sound like it damn it!

My concerns, as always when I make brash purchases on car parts (i.e. wheels with the wrong hub bore) is that this BPV does not come with everything included. There are no springs or shims pictured, although he claims it works perfect and is ready to bolt on. My guess is it came off a wrecked car, so whatever is in it, is included--no extra springs/shims. In any case, a spring kit is $16 through Forge, and the rebuild kit for the o-ring and innards is also $16...so at the most I will have about $110 into it. If everything comes out clean and it works flawlessly as is, I only paid $72! Sorry for being so damn long-winded....historians.....

That's a good deal then, it wouldnt be the end of the world if it didn't have everything. Brand new they are in the upper 100's
