the "athletic" car may be big and strong (ooo by like 20 hp) but they arent as nimble.

just look at a 3 from behind. it has love handles!

The msp is crazy amounts of stable.. There is a reason it was rated as best handling sport compact.. Beating the reigning champ integra gsr by a long shot!

ive driven 3's, and they take bumps way better, but do not feel as planted. my p5 is on stock suspension too.

to be honest, the main 2 reasons i bought the p5 and not a 3:

- i like the looks better
- p5 has a 2 din stereo. the 3 would require a much larger, more expensive piece for an aftermarket stereo.

the one thing i miss about my protege is the fantasical suspension. the speed6 has a s***-ton more power, but it just doesn't take corners the same way that little protege did...

i am modifying them.. the #307.. was at one point one of the most built up mazdas on the forum.. i have sense been downgrading it... #935 is the one i just purchased.. it will soon, have mods.. i will be picking it up next month in California..

they are fun little cars... and there is NONE of them around me!

I down graded the one bc it was waaaay to much power for a fwd, it's going to be a show car for me.. The one I will be modding will be a spirited driver to take to track events.. The third for a daily driver setup so when the track event one breaks.. I'll still have transportation..
