The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I down graded the one bc it was waaaay to much power for a fwd, it's going to be a show car for me.. The one I will be modding will be a spirited driver to take to track events.. The third for a daily driver setup so when the track event one breaks.. I'll still have transportation..

Take it to the limit! (rockon)

What was wrong with it?

Rear main seal leaking, turbo seals gone. Ghetto fab hot pipe, lifter ticks galore, Valve cover is pouring oil..
needs body work and paint on the hood and bumper. Needs a new drivers fender, new door skins on both drivers front and rear door, has a mp3 rear lip, also has a mp3 rear speaker deck!

Buy me the MP3 rear lip! ;) haha

What year was it? Didn't the '03 MSP's have the same body styling as the MP3's?

I'll take you up on your offer. But I can already figure out what I'm going to right.

There's a lot of s*** going on with them right now, but kinda. I got brought into the middle of a drama fest that was going on with them.

Hahaha, no worries man. I was probably one of the best people who has had experience with this sort of thing (with the same people) to say anything.

This new group can't seem to decide what they want. Some want to "change" OAC and others want to "replace" it. If you want to start your own group that's fine, just don't change a regional organization into one that only spans a small area.

I need to start a Cinci group. Too bad there's only like one person I know would join, LOL!

I don't really get why they are trying to rename the OAC... They are creating a new group, it seems to me. (shrug)

Cincinnati needs some representation!

I think I have helped them out, as I suggested that they go with the Mid-West Mazda Club and have a sub-section for KYMC for local events and G2G's. check out the post in the poll section.

P.S. I have not forgotten the HAWKS, my guy is back from his NASA events, as he markets to all of the NASA regions.

Magnum, I'm not sure where you're getting your information, but I'm sorry we bug you. Let me clear the air and inform you of our intentions so you are no longer bugged. We are making no attempt whatsoever to replace the OAC. In the wake of the fallout from the OAC, of which we only recently became aware, we are organizing ourselves, locally and informally. I believe the perception that we are trying to usurp the OAC comes from the fact that us "Louisville" (actually Bardstown (Tiff), Georgetown (greatdane, mrsparks), Lexington (Brad), and Radcliffe (oh hejl no)) OAC members are the only ones who have been participating lately. Organizing locally is something we should have done a long time ago, but it doesn't mean we are trying to exclude anyone, or that we aren't still interested in a regional association. By the way, you are more than welcome to cruise down from Cincy (our last two meets, Georgetown and Lexington, were closer to you than they were to me in Louisville) anytime. It won't bug me what you call yourself.

^^^ LOL, why are you in here anyway?

sarcasm ---->

you -------->

You guys act like you're so benevolent to the Mazda community of the region. You say you've organized so many events but only one that I know of outside the Louisville region (Mazda Thunder)! Before you guys seemed to take control there were regular events all over the region: from Cleveland, to Cincinnati, to Lexington, you name it. Louisville is nearly two hours away from me. That's a little too far for small get togethers for me.

If you guys want to create a local club, there's nothing wrong with that. All I'm saying is don't take a regional organization (like OAC was attempting to become) and turn it into a Louisville or KY group.

I have traveled to Kentucky for work and while down there I posted in OAC threads asking if anyone lived around where i was at currently. Not a single person posted in response when I would attempt to make contact locally. It gives me the impression they are not open to people who are outsiders. That's fine, no hard feelings, I just know not to try and socialize with them.
