I just got home from a rehearsal for my friends band. (I'm a bassist). He's a singer/songwriter and plays pop/rock kind of stuff. He asked me to play bass for his cd release show next month so I agreed. His drummer is good but his guitarist is SO BLOODY LOUD! Holy hell. I thought he was kidding with the volume of his amp. I couldn't hear lyrics, piano or anything else. Sorry, just had to vent.

Ear plugs are your friends. Not only does it protect the ears, but the sound is so much cleaner and balanced then.
