The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'm posting merely so I can make it on this milestone page.

Dammit! I missed.

hey pablo, never knew you showed the ricer and miata side at a young age :P

you SOB... I was gonna grab this and tag Ivan...

Hey I'm not that dark even at the end of summer! lol

I bought a handheld steam cleaner on ebay today to clean the engine bay with. They sell for around 30-35 shipped but I found one to bid on and got it for 20. I'll let you guys know how it works.

I personally don't recommend steam cleaning an engine bay. It may look nice after your done but, I've seen people's engine bays rusting way faster when they do that.

There are different ways to clean. They take longer though. If you do use the steamer or a hose make sure to cover up the alternator and battery terminals. GL

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to take my time and be careful. What parts of the engine bay is it that start rusting?

If I had to guess, anywhere 2 pieces of metal are put together. Potential for water storage, especially if it's spot welded together and water get pushed behind the panel or seam sealer somehow where paint was not applied...

Aluminum tends to develop white rust when exposed to a steam cleaner. Sorta like this.

Anyone looking to get a set of Rear Camber Arms for an MS3 hit me up, Ive got a new set of JBR's I would like to get rid of fairly soon.

Out of a job and on the hunt again. The whole working 56+ hours a week and trying to keep up with full time school and have any family time was rediculous. Things happen for a reason, but I really need to find another job and hopefully soon.
