Cangrats man. I hope it's nice out too because your having it right next to me making it easy for me to crash the reception. JK, good luck.

Just remember that rain on your wedding day is good luck...at least that's what I heard and I'm sure that won't make your fiance feel any better.

Congrats dude. I just took the plunge Saturday myself.

A belated Congrats to you!

Liquidation is closer to becoming a reality than you may realize. However, the Bavaria will stick around as I bought it for a car to bop around in every once in a while, which is more or less what I do.

I will say this: I had a DD (brand new CX-7 that was nearly paid off all on my own-$4000 left at the time, which was 1.5 years ago) and hated it. So I literally just handed it over to my parents, all they had to do was finish up the 4000 in payments. I bought the MS3. Sometimes (a lot of the times!) I regret that decision--had I just been a little more patient, I could have had a 2007 brand new and paid off reliable DD and then bought a smaller, cheaper project car....or perhaps even a second new-ish car that was more fun, like a early 2000s sports car or something....

My point is, maybe you should try and sell off everything except the Bavaria. Keep it as a project and restore the s*** out of it to spanking-new condition! Use the sold car money to put down on a nice, new reliable DD. whether that is a Mazda2 or a Hyundai sonata, it doesn't matter as long as you keep it 95% stock.... But please stick around with us. There are way to many good times had here on the forum and in person to lose a friend such as yourself.

I was told if it rains, you'll get pregnant. At least that's what my sister told me.

And thanks for the congrats. I'll post pics once we get them in. We went from the church to the reception in the back of a 55 Chevy convertible with a police escort. People were cheering and honking. ******* coolest thing about our wedding.

Oh and congrats Nick! Sounds like it was great.

the wedding and reception were great, ive already given you congrats nick but ill say it again... now stay off the forums and enjoy your honeymoon hahah :P

Why so new?

I guess it wouldn't have to be. I guess I was just thinking styling preference...I dunno... If I could honestly do it all over again I would still have the CX-7 (fully paid off by now) and

1) have just recently purchased a NA or NB miata with spending money to convert to Spec Miata standards
2) put down payment on used RX8 and work towards paying that off over the next year (no bills or school loans FTW)
3) perhaps go all out and spend the big bucks to purchase another new car (like a new MS3 or something equivalent_
4) gone old school and get something that needs completely restored, such as what I did to my first car Mustang

I'm just saying, if I could do it again, I would do it much differently. But I chose to purchase an MS3 knowing I wanted to mod it and that I would run into a few issues (2 minor issues currently ATM), and dammit I will see this project through! Then purchase a Miata!

About the Hyundai Sonata.... I drove one as a rental for a week and loved it! Great gas mileage, comfortable to drive long distances, decent power, and nice creature comforts. I informed a guy at the office about it while he was looking for a new car. He found one, took for a test drive, and bought it that afternoon.

That's why I'm looking to dump the MS6 soon for a more economical car. The Miata is now my fun car and the MS6 has be relegated to an expensive DD.

Not a fan of those cars. There's decent quality in there, but looks and drive didn't do a thing for me. I'd rather have a 6/Malibu/Accord/CC in this category.

My only comment toward Spec Miata is that unless you're dead set on racing in Spec Miata, it's damn near pointless to build a car that meets its regulations as you'd pretty much have a loud street car with a roll cage. Great class, everyone that I've met from SM are great people... but it's definitely not a class that I could see building for unless you're specifically racing that class.
