The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Morning everyone. What are the current odds on Phen buying a new car and NOT touching it?...I want in. (evil)

you chose to get a jeep.... no one held a gun to your head and said you have to buy this haha :P

I bought what actually makes me happy. I am just like the rest of you. Buy what ya like and then try to make it do everything you want your vehicle to do. My modding is just for a different purpose. (evil)

im saying no one forced you to buy a vehicle with poor mileage therefore since you bought what you like dont b**** about the mileage :P

I like the dedicated track car that you can modify in what everway you want , knowing that you have a daily driver w/ a warranty is a great. I like to blend in with my DD and stay under the radar.

Can't keep s*** stock because we have to make it our own.

A statement has never been more true. I hide it well but it really bugs me when someone says "Oh I have the same Jeep as you". No you don't because this is mine.. you don't have mine.. mine is not the same as yours. I did things to mine you didn't do to yours, so they aren't the same!

I don't b**** about gas prices much at all actually. Not nearly as much as people who's cars get significantly better mileage.

I actually spent time recently thinking about if it's better for me financially to trade it in and get something practical. However I think I finally found a vehicle I want to keep for life.

speaking of modding your jeep, doors off yet?

In the parking lot here at work, topless and door-less. With the hoist for the hardtop in the garage now, playing with my Lego vehicle is real easy. I've gotten to where any configuration of top, doors, or what have you takes me about 30 mins to take off and assemble.

Nobody will have an intake like yours once we make it. ha ha ha

sorry shoulda put that in pink font, was joking around with ya... i know you dont b**** about mpg's haha

We should make it with dual inlets going to either side of the engine bay. More air!!

And more water when it's time to ford a river to escape zombies.

Looks like the Miata is WIA for a while while (ha) I figure out what "zapped" last night. Hopefully it's just a fuse, but I hope it wasn't the starter. I feel dumb because it's my own fault, I knew the ground strap wasn't connected and kept forgetting to do it, but something finally went. Clutch starting it in reverse in the Autozone parking lot was a riot, though (thanks to Phen for the idea, lol).

Have you not listened to me piss and moan about modifying cars lately? I can damn near give a rats ass at this point.

I'll tell you what it is guys. Working on cars just isn't fun to me anymore. Before I left to go to China, it's all I ever wanted to do. Mess with cars, do this, do that, etc. Once I got home, everything just seemed different to me. I get next to no excitement out of doing it any more because when it comes down to it, the stuff I wanted to do ends up being absolutely pointless. I used to like it a lot more when friends would come around and we'd stand around, BS, have a beer, maybe get something done, but probably not... but even that is different now. None of it is fun to me anymore. For all of you that have been around this whole time, it may not seem odd to you, but to me... I left with things meaning something to me, and I came home feeling completely different about it. Some of you have asked me what I'm going to do to the Bavaria. My answer was "Just drive it. That's all I want to do right now." I have parts that would be an easy install for the MSM sitting in the trunk. I have absolutely no desire to do it.

There you go. Take whatever bets you want. I don't give a s*** anymore. It may change in time. I don't know. All I know is right now, it's not what I want to do.

EDIT: I just wanted to say that it's no one's fault at all. I'm not calling out anyone. Just my ramblings.
