The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

your heavy foot doesn't help either

yeah... but 200+ whp cars with people who drive harder don't have these problems.

And my heavy foot gets me to 70 and stops on average. You guys think I **** around a lot, but I don't because I hate fixing s***. There's a reason you most likely won't see me on a track any time soon.

That suck man. On a side not I had a really bad ankle spain playing basketball at school the other day. I've rolled my ankle hundreds of time, but never to this magnatude. My foot landed flat and my ankle rolled right bending at a 90. I cracked when I fell and about a minute later. Thought I broke it because I couldn't move it for about 5 minutes. My ankle was almost the size of my calf. Looks really funny walking around in shorts (one really skinny ankle and one cankle). The tranner at the rec center wanted me to get an ambulance to take me to the hospital, but I told them I couldn't afford to have that happen (don't have insurance). Sucks balls. Kinda took it for granted how mobile I am and now I can't do s***. I was lucky it wasn't my left foot. I wouldn't be able to push the clutch in to shift then. Right now I'm just driving a MazdaSpeed Slowtege.

I crushed my left ankle back when I was in early college. Ankle did the same thing, swelled to the size of my calf. To this day, i can't walk up stairs without hearing it pop and crack.

if it makes you guys feel any better my ankles are so destroyed from many years of competitive traveling soccer teams that i no longer sprain or strain them, they just dislocate and i have to pop them back in... haha

phen has witnessed it a few times lol

If you can, stay off of it and keep it elevated when your sitting. I sprained my ankle really bad once. It sucked. and Levi that's just kinda gross.

Holy s*** Phen!

My knees will never be the same due to playing ball and my shoulder will never be since the accident. I get clicking in it now from therapy...can't wait to predict the next t-storm. lol

Hopefully I don't have any reacurrances of this. I love playing basketball, but I would rather play with my 2 kids later on than have them push me around in a wheel chair later on. I'm ony 26 and hopefully have a long way to go before my body is limp and lifeless. I'll post a pic for s**** and giggles later if I can.

Anyone been able to get tires and wheels mounted without the tpms sensors? I've got RX8 rims and tires, but don't want to spend an extra $100/sensor.

My RX8's don't have sensor's. It doesn't cause any issues with the car. The only thing that does happen is an annoying TPMS light flashes for like 30 seconds when you start the car, then it stays on solid forever. I got used to it after a while. I've been searching for a way to disable the light, but no solution that I know of yet.

Open gauge cluster, pull bulb.

not guaranteed to work... when i yanked the bulb on the airbag off light in the center console above the ashtray when i was installing the 3 gauge pod, it set off the CEL and wouldnt go away until i put the bulb back in...

so yanking the bulb might not be the best option

Paint the bulb black.

Smartest fix I've heard yet!! LOL

The only issue is that my OEM MS3 wheels (winter setup) have the TPMSs in them, so If I paint the bulb black, the TPMS system is basically useless. Maybe we just have to choose.

two bulbs? or just check the tire pressure yourself? I've seen valve stem caps that change from red/yellow/green depening on tire pressure

noticed the bushing on me gt spec trailing arm is popped out, hope it's the sign of a major problem with my car or just an easy fix.

Is it harder to know when a tire is getting low on a low profile when you're just looking at it? I mean that hasn't failed me yet. If it looks low, I put air in it, if it looks fine, I drive it. (shrug) I really don't get the whole point of the built-in sensor other than stupid "luxury" crap that's totally unnecessary. Just another excuse to get you to pay more...

it would be more helpful if it told you which wheel was low. having to look for a tire that is at 27.5psi is annoying sometimes. (every time the light went off, one tire was at 27.5 and the others at 29-30) i know more expensive cars do though... but im not made of money.
