I fail at attaching images apparently.

just about to do that. and I bet my 1992 miata will run better with its Frankenstein motor than whatever my parents (dad) chooses to buy

Just hate GM I just can't stand them. I think its just because I've had them shoved down my throat since I was born so I just grew this festering hatred that I can't stand them or any car they bring out. other than the buick GS that is a nifty car

New GM's just suck. Do love me some retro fitted LS though. Look away Phen!

It's your parents money, who cares what they spend it on. As long as you don't have to fix it. :)

Glad my dad has a preference on cars, but doesn't bash any other brand. He loves his Subaru and seems to be hooked for life, but he still maintains that the Protege is the best hatch/wagon he has ever seen. Although he doesn't like any 3 hatches at all. I fancy gen juans myself

Howdy Fellow Ohioians, new to the Mazda forum. I grew up on Fords(Mom worked at a Ford Dealer), I liked Honda, so switched to them for awhile, but, this last round, they wouldn't give me anything for my trade, even the Honda dealer that I bought the Civic from, was screwing me over on the trade. I always liked the looks of Mazdas, but, just never really gave them a serious look. So, on somewhat of a whim, one Saturday, checked out our local Mazda dealer and ended up(after long negotiation, that also tends to piss me off) with a 2015 CX-5 Touring FWD. As I told my salesman, with this being my first Mazda. I'd never even driven a Mazda before. It could be my first of many future Mazdas if I love it, or, my first and last, if it ends up being a bad experience. So far, so good... But, it's only been a couple months.

Welcome! I don't doubt you will be hooked. Between the community, the car, and the get togethers there is not much to dislike about your new Mazda. Congrats on the purchase and hope you enjoy your stay.

I couldn't have said it better myself. +1

Welcome. :)

Welcome to the family.

On another note, what service does everyone use for their music streaming. I had Pandora, but that yearly ran out a while ago, and I got a spotify free account. Shuffle play/radio on my phone and free choice on the desktop is nice. I recently got a few months free of the google play music, and it's ok, but their recommended playlists suck. Not sure if I will keep the "All access" when its up. I use it otherwise as my ipod since I already uploaded 12000 songs years ago when it was released specifically for that.

I use free Pandora at work, radio everywhere else

Eww, radio. (shudders)

Not only am I an elitist with everything else I'm extra snobish about music. haha.

I'm not tech savy so I just use Pandora on my phone. But 99% of the time I use my iPod.

I use Pandora if I stream since it works the best with Sync, but I leave my iPod in the car and listen to the 6,000 songs on there most of the time.

I'm about done with radio. In my two fifteen minute commutes yesterday 5/6 of the saved stations in the 2 were broadcasting commercials. They probably played two songs while I was inside picking up Ian from daycare. I understand 5 PM is peak audience time but that's unacceptable. They wonder why more and more people are switching to satellite radio and free streaming offerings like Pandora.

Thank You, Thank You! But, as I said, the brand isn't everything, I Loved Honda for their value(usually) and dependability. But, in this case, the two Honda Dealers I went to, one of which I'd previously purchased my last two cars, pissed me off to the point that I may never step foot into a Honda dealer again. I tend to get bored quickly, and I tend to always buy new vehicles, so, it's their loss!!

We'll see what my two closest Mazda dealers are like when I'm ready for my next new ride(I'm thinking the 2016 MX-5 Miata :-)

I did get the minimum deal I required from the Mazda dealer, but, I had to fight for it, and according to TrueCar, I still paid approx $300 too much, and according to KBB, I got $700 too little for my trade, so, based on those numbers I should have done a $1,000 better than I got. Had I taken the dealer's first offer, it'd been $1,500 more than I ended up paying. So, no, the Mazda "Dealer/Stealer" didn't really do me any favors either. Wish we didn't have to play such games to keep from getting screwed.
