Nitto's are crap in torrential downpour. Found that out when we were convoying to IN, buddy calls and yells at me, couldn't go over 60 in the rain.
Too bad the only sign of intelligence in michigan is the mile marker for columbus ohio.
5 years on the job means 4 weeks of paid vacation plus two floating holidays. Add 2 weeks of paid paternity leave to use between 10/26/12 and 10/26/13 and I have (had) a total of 32 days. Considering I had 17 days last year this is a big change for me. That being said we have so many weddings and "family functions" to attend this year I only have about a week's worth of vacation to use whenever I want. Otherwise I would've been taking whole weeks off to work on the RX-7. Can't get used to this though as I'm back down to 22 days next year. To bad we can't roll over vacation...
Technically days but we can divide them into half day increments of four hours. I think we get ten holidays (New Year's, MLK, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, two days for Thanksgiving, and two days for Christmas). Our floating days are Good Friday and Election Day but I don't know of anyone who actually takes them on those days. I essentially have to take off the last two weeks of the year or I'd go crazy. All our shops are shut down and everyone is out so I'd be twiddling my thumbs and trolling the forums all day.I essentially have 4 weeks of vacation... just one is fixed each year. They move a couple holidays like MLK Day, and other governement holidays to the Christmas season, giving us the week between Christmas and NY off. I don't mind it, but I go stir crazy.
So you guys go by full days, or by hours? We keep track by hours.
He was saying Michigan is good for absolutely nothing. The only good thing was the sign for Columbus, meaning he was on his way out of the state and heading home.
