The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

This is just too funny

Been there... Done that. What an expensive engine to trash too. The sound, thinking back on it still makes me sick

Ahh yes, but the P5 is SO much cheaper and easier to fix. That's how I can keep my foot off the throttle on the Speed6. I'll beat the poo out of the P5 since I know that car really well and a new motor is $750 shipped and other parts are so cheap.

But I love my daily commute to work now. I don't like talking about myself and be all me me me, but man, this car is such a blast. And I don't even drive fast! It's just that much of an upgrade from the Milly. haha

Anyway, back to cell phones and tax returns.

I was just hunting for a pic in my Photobucket album and found this classic from Mid-ohio last year.

Jake - Evan #2 - Ivan - Cara.

HAHAHA Jake looks hilarious

Well, just got off the phone with CP-e and they want to partner up with MOCO full time. They want to sponsor the MS3 as well, so I am going to be writing a proposal this weekend. I am looking to get a full set of MM from them at this time. So all of you Ohio Speed owners stay tuned as I am working on getting you taken care of as well, if you do not have a relationship with Josh and CP-e.

Dang...I recently bought the James Barone Racing motor mount trilogy. O well...very happy with the JRB passenger side mount so far and can't wait to install the rear mount and trans mount Sunday.

Honestly, I think this car is plenty fast for me. Keep in mind I was quite content with the KL swapped P5 (169whp). No power adders are necessary for me, I have to learn how to control this power first before I add anymore. Just a few little things here and there for suspension, bushings and upgrade for the OEM flimsy ones.

I agree, power isn't an issue until you get used to it after a year and then want MOARRRR!!!

So, in two or three years down the road when my engine and/or turbo finally poops out (I hope it lasts that long) I want this:

Atmosphere Turbo Kit

GTX3076 please. Plus rods, pistons, a FMIC, and a tune. (and fuel pump, injector seals, etc...everything needed) Freaking expensive, but to me, spending money to fix my car holds way more value than ever getting rid of it and buying something else.

CP-e full MM set.......

Jake was kind enough to include the AWR pass and rear MM. He didn't get around to the trans mount. Not sure if I even have it in the garage or I need to source one.

I was looking at their rear diff mount since that is a cast piece and apparently breaks easily. Then again, I don't launch this thing street racing or drifting down my neighborhood streets. I just want to invest in parts that need to be upgraded where the OEM pieces will fail.

I've got H&R springs and Tokico shocks on the way. The ricer in me wants a Forge BPV like Ivans. Then I'll switch tires on my Rays to the tires I bought from Ivan for the Speed. Fix the rust spots on the hood and quarter panels then Plastidip it in the spring. That's all the plans I have for the 6. Once it warms up outside I'll be very busy with the P5 getting it running/tuned and sorted.

UA parking decks always have some interesting vehicles

Hey I was parked pretty much in that same spot last night lol

I've seen that Camero before....talk about ridiculous. But...it's his ride and his money so whatever floats his boat. I normally see it in the Hadicap spots though lol

Yeah, i usually see it one level below in the handicapped spot by the walkway to polsky. I like the color of the car, but the wheels are ridiculous IMP

The picture is hilarious..is the before or after the "liquid apple pie"?

Do we need to have a little talk again?

Haha, nooo....

I want to fix the rust spots and for ~$400 I can plastidip the whole car. I got a quote from The Russians for $350 for just the front bumper. I can plastidip right over the primer too. I am still undecided about matte white or black, but no outrageous colors for me.

Jake has a friend, Ryan, who dipped his MS6 matte white and from the cell phone pics I saw it looked pretty good.

But I understand you're an ex-bodyshop guy so your eyes are trained much better than the rest of us. You'll cringe when you see it, I'm sure. Just like you did when you saw my clearcoat on my CF hood. haha
