The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Just throwing this out there, if anyone sees some decent (small) houses for rent with a 1+ garage around Stow/Hudson/Akron/C.Falls, let me know. I can do about $700 a month. No pets, single guy, good references stable job etc and I'm moving out Late January. Thanks!

Soooo since so many of you are gun owners, I was thinking about a Mazda firing range day? Mostly so I can try out all your hand guns before I buy one for myself. I know some ranges have ones to try out/rent and the more Meeps/guns/advice the merrier. Jess and I were talking about going to the range sometime soon. Would anyone else be interested?

That's a great idea #1! I have 1 handgun I'd bring and would love to try out other guns. I love shooting a variety of weapons (gun)

I'd suggest trying to find an outdoor range to do it. Indoors are normally too small, busy, and not convenient (at least those around us)

I agree, outdoor range is a much better environment. I know a lot of indoor ranges charge for 1 hour and you can only have 2 people per booth.

I went to a good outdoor range in the Grand River Wildlife Area (6693 Hoffman Norton Rd, Bristolville, OH 44402), which is about 1 hour east of Cleveland. LINK HERE. It's a 60-bench supervised range and you need a permit. However, you can easily get a 1-day permit for $5 or a 1-year permit for $24. It's a little far away, but you can shoot all day if you want. So it would be worth it if we got a big group together. I don't think it's open during the winter season though.

I bet you do. (lol2)

I'll throw in dinner at Big Boy just like with the Escape

That's a pretty good deal.
1. non-working MSP
2. barley working rusty 75 Camaro
3. getting Megan to maybe hold off on baby talk a little longer
4. Big Boy

If that's not worth $30,000 I don't know what is

im down, is it pistol only or is it rifle as well... im guessing with 60 benches they probably have varied ranged targets and you could do both hahaha

There's 3 separate areas with 20 benches each. The 3 areas are at different distances. Also, it's pistol and rifle, just no full-auto weapons.

speaking of babies, Kennedy had her 9 month check up wednesday, 17 lbs, 11oz and 26 3/4 long.

Long when referring to height just sounds weird. Tall fits a little better, unless you have a boy. Then it is just funny :) Sorry there is a few screws loose somewhere.

how's everyone doing out there in the snow? what's it's name? Draco? LOL ... anyway, I got home about 3p before it started getting TOO bad, but just wanted to say that my new Conti DSW's ROCK!!!!! now the only problem i'll be having is scraping my low riding belly on the snow, but once that's clear, i'll be good to go!! my car is in the garage : ) (sooo happy to have a garage space again!!) and i am in for the night. poor Marlon is still on his way home : / stay safe everyone!!!!!
