THE OFFICIAL "Traveling Mazda Flag" thread! :D

wouldnt it be better if it was shipped to all the people in one area/state than shipping from cali to the ny and then back to cali to ill, or ship it to a few ppl in the states then off to Japan etc then back here for one person then back across the pond.

all the ppl in one state ship it to each other then after that the next state and so forth.
idk if that makes sense to anyone.

I think that makes sense but the problem with that is not everyone is going to be available to meet at the same time conflicting schedules so its just easier that way and besides there's a list of people already in line I think its kinda cool the way it is going from person to person

eviljen said she might have something to work, i vote we send the flag to her and see if she can save it...

Talked to my maintenance guy about the marker. He said denatured alcohol or acetone should remove the offending marks. So, whoever has it, if they want to try it, go ahead. He said to test a very small area somewhere that's not noticeable and see if it bleaches out the fabric.

If that doesn't work, send it my way and I'll try some chemicals I have here at work. (I work for a printing company and the press operators get ink on their clothes all the time.)

scratchnsniff - mind putting up a pic of how it looks after u fix it... im really interested in how it looks so far.

my brother in law is a pretty good artist I can have him draw something mazda on it just an idea im #9 on the list if all else fails

if acetone or alcohol damages the area you can always tag it with a 247 logo or something in that spot as long as not to close to other sigs. just a thought. and its kind of frustrating being a part of eecmm and this happens. but we all need to realize there are bad apples everywhere we go. and this is fixable.

Sorry to all, from all the good apples at EECMM...

I think its an easy fix......

its a chop but I didnt delete anything from the orig image...just an example of how it can easily be covered up without doing damage to the material with cleaners/etc

Actually... I looked closer and both problems were fixed with a draw over. I vote to fix the issues with the attached photo!

First off, this flag was signed by all of the teams that compete in Grand-Am, in addition to members of Mazdaspeed Motorsports. Some of you may not think this is a serious deal, but to Mazda it is. This is their logo, this is the flag that they use in commercials and advertising.

Mazda USA and Mazdaspeed Motorsports have seen the thread and they have seen the pictures of the poorly drawn penis, etc. In fact, when you have team owners like Sylvain Tremblay (SpeedSource), Jon Mirachi (Racers Edge), Tom & Glenn Long (Freedom Autosport) see things like this, it does not bode well to get them to particpate in events thrown by Mazda owners.

Secondly, I highly doubt that EEMMC will receive suppport from Mazda USA for next years event, if in fact they received any this year. Suffice to say, that this event will never see support from Mazda USA or Mazdaspeed Motorsports or its teams.

At any event or Mazda Corral we put on we have a team in place to oversee the event to make sure that things like this don't happen. We had no issues at LRP or OCC for that matter. If you asked for the flag and received it, it is that persons responsibility to oversee and make sure that stupid crap like this does not happen.

I am sure that Antoine knows about this, he will also be getting a PM from me in regards to Mazda USA and Mazdaspeed Motorsports feelings on the matter. Just an FYI for those who think this is a small matter, I had worked out a deal with all of the Mazda teams to put 24/7.com on their cars and then they see this! C'mon, this goes beyond childish. We are also partnering with Grand-Am as well, to promote each site.

Needless to say, I am glad I was not at this event, nor will I lend my support to any future event like this. Someone should apologize to Worbit, they screwed him on this deal, big time. It should be noted that dealerships have to go to their regions for approval to host events as well, in order to get money from Mazda USA, so you may not even get dealer support for your future events as well.
