The Moderately Low (Not Slammed) and Functional Thread

Latest additions, all cleaned up and ready to go on a road trip.

amazed by the taste and the combo you got!!! beautiful Miata, wheels checked with the tan vinyl!!! Im not a big fan of tan vinyl but the combo you got I would pick over any black tops!!! 10+ picture saved lol

i like it if it matches the tinted rear glass (Soft top or hardtop)

And if you do the summer time trips with the top up and a/c on (when in traffic) the tint makes a HUGE difference

I mostly want tint for night driving, the part of the year when I have the top on/ windows shut. Lowered miata at night in traffic = FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Recent pic and a question for those with a better knowledge on fitment than I. Currently running 16x6.5 +55 wheels lowered on Blues and S-Techs. I've been thinking about spacers for some time and was going to go with 10mm to simply push them out a bit as they are sunken right now. My bro-in-law has offered me some 1.25" adapters which equate to 31.75mm thus giving me a +23 offset. I have yet to try them out on the car and before I did thought I'd get some opinions from you guys. Fronts should be ok but rears would def. have to be rolled.

Seriuosly? 1.25" spacers! Dude that is pushing those wheels way out there! Considering you wanted to try 10mm which is about .25". Those spacers are ~5 times that.

I should look into getting the Miata's windows tinted, but it seems a bit odd to me. What's the point if the top is down 95% of the time I am driving it?

hehe just messing.

Previous owner had them tinted, side windows and back glass only. It's a nice tint job, and it has grown on me, as I wouldn't have done it. I will say that it has protected the interior from fading (especially important in sun-soaked Florida), the inside of the car looks as good as the outside. And when I ride with the top down I never have the windows up so it's not too noticeable.

yeah....you saw how far mine are and I'm @ a +35 offset. Get the fender roller out.

They are free and I've seen sillier stuff done, so thought about test fitting them for s**** and giggles and just maybe be surprised. lol

I am thinking sawzall and some fender flares! Or just a touch of negative camber...

Hmmmmm......well if I sawzall the fenders that will take care of my current rust issue ~ $0 for rust repair + $0 for spacers +$??? for flares and I could come out ahead. :D haha Quite honestly I'm thinking if I ran them I'd have to run a bit of negative camber as well as the roll. It doesn't cost anything but time to jack the car up and test them out and if anything the pics will be good for a few laughs.

Levi you found me out...I want to be slammed/stanced and herrafrush too. :p No way in hell am I running a 185/40 I'll stick with my 205/50s. Why couldn't he have a nice set of 10 or 15mm spacers he was giving away..BAH! Guess those are too small for Jeep owners? hahaha

6.5" wheels are going to look really weird spaced out. Get new wheels that are wider with a lower offset.

Deep down I really want to see the car with those huge spacers. I was hoping that 1.25" was a typo, guess not. Do it, get pics, and post ***** them everywhere. haha

Good point...but what the hell, right? lol

Nah, no typo Larry. When he first told me he had a set in his attic I could have I was ecstatic...would save me $150 or so from buying them new. He called me later to tell me the size and after the conversion I was like 'damn....31.75mm....that's crazy'. Like you said though, I'll test 'em and get pics and become a post *****. Will be interesting to see responses.
