Gues we can hope for the better cause when dodge originally indroduced the srt it was a 200hp supercharge 4 but after a major 03 body change it also got a 220hp turbo instead. I know it will be one of the baddest cars out there! If I could afford it...i'd jump on the bad wagon with you guys...jaman said:
Seriously, what is with peoples nut busting obsession with hatchbacks? Especially when it comes to performance IE Mazdaspeed edition? Hatchbacks are big clunky turd wagons. They weigh more, handle worse, they are slower, and the list goes on. I see no reason why you would want a mazdaspeed 6 hatch over a sedan, it completely contradicts the purpose of the mazdaspeed edition. The only benefits to having a hatch are carrying around tons of s***, making a show car, or filling the back with a ridiculous amount of speakers.
Hatchbacks are not made to be performance cars! and I thank god mazda knows this.

The 6 hatch is heavier and has more bodyflex. It's a gynormous car, not an eg6. The 6s is slow! It understeers, plows, and has a steering ratio that makes me want to cry everytime I get in it.
The saving grace of the mps is that it's a 4cyl and hopefully doesn't come with leather, moonroof, side airbags, etc.

the case of the 6 yes the sedan weighs less and yes the body is a little more rigid but that is (thumb) extremely easy to fix.
