Picked it up yesterday. 2011 Q7 S-Line Prestige. 333 HP Supercharged V6.
Nice. When you get a chance post some pics and tell us what that thrust feels like on the interstate because I know you are going to "open it up."

Engine is much stronger than the CX-9. I have to get the CX-9 trans to kick down a few gears to get good thrust--it's instant in the Q7, very strong pull. The 2011 Q7 also has an 8 speed A/T.

Why do people who live in the desert drive black cars? Unless you always have covered parking it would seem to insure discomfort.
Nice Audi although I am not so fond of the big bulbous nose. Might even prefer the MDX. Rest of it looks great.

I agree the nose looks bulbous in the photo I took. It doesn't look like that in person.
My CX-9 is black too, and comfort has never been an issue. I am having the windows tinted to 20% all the way around this Saturday, and always put a sun shade in the windshield when parked outside. Ventilated seats option is nice too.
I read a study a few years ago that said a black/black vehicle only gets about 4 warmer on the inside vs a white vehicle when sitting in the sun.

That is one magnificient machine, bulbous nose or not! The car just screams quality and elegance, both inside and out. With an 8 speed auto I imagine the shift from gear to gear is almost imperceptible. Are those 22" and is the navi user friendly and are voice commands understood the first time or do you have to repeat yourself?
Seems like it's got all the bells and whistles that you would need. Thanks for posting those GREAT PICS and enjoy the hell out of that baby!

German vehicles are very expensive to own after warranty.
Audi do not have very good reliability record. I knew how much BMW hurt me because I still
can feel the pains after it has been gone for 3 years..... the pain of having to shell out $1000 or
more on every repair, which happened at least once a year. It cost me about $5000 total to
up-keep it. Among it, $2500 was paid by ext warranty I had.
Leasing a German vehicle is what I always recommend my friends to do if they really want ones.
My brother has a Q7 3.0d.

I drove it to work the other day. On my way home I got on it for the first time while entering I-25 entrance ramp. I was really surprised at the power--much quicker than CX-9 in same situation. Amazing acceleration from a 3.0 ltr. Blower!
Tires are 274/45 20.
Voice command has worked perfectly without going through the "learn" feature.

I'm very familiar with German vehicles--I've owned 2 new BMW 5-Series and 7-Series myself.
I bought it. I have leased 8 vehicles (CX-9 included), but bought the Q7 because they gave it to me for damn near invoice, and I had a 2.49% rate from my credit union. I very rarely keep a vehicle out of warranty, so not concerned with that.
Unfortunately pretty much all luxury vehicles depreciate badly. Amazing what you can buy a 2-3 year old AMG MB for. My 2006 Cadillac STS stickered at $54K, and I just sold it to a coworker for $18K. The price you pay to play I guess.
The glove box is refrigerated. I can turn it on or off.
Park plus. When I push a button, an overhead view of the vehicle appears on the nav screen. The front/rear sensor zones are projected in an arc at front/rear of vehicle. As any object enters the arc, a red bar appears at the sensor that detects the object. An alarm sounds, and the red bar moves closer and closer to the vehicle as the object nears. Very effective option.
Audi vehicles, a mix of styling cues inside and out which I like, and some which I dont like.!!
The don`t likes surpass the things I like, at least for me.
For instance, I like the front end, but the profile and the back end, I do not. Especially that horrendous rear bumper with those huge lights, wow.
Inside, I don`t like the 90`s type shifter, the dash design (too square) and the 4 spoke steering wheel and that big key hole!, wow thats big, but probably interior materials are good and good build quality. Lots of high tech!
