The 2nd MS6 Build-a-Beast in the country!!!

.... I have a evo dyno I can post as well on the very same dyno I am on which spun 360hp/376tq and he is consistently tracking low 11's....

There's more to a low et than your peak hp number, as I'm sure you're aware? What does the EVO weigh compared to a Speed6? I'm sure you'll find your answer there. And the track CAN lie. Elevation, temp, humidity, and slope, of all things will make just a bit of difference. Check out the ATP video of a Speed6 running a 12.8 et on stock tires, exhaust, etc. The track looks like it has about -10% grade. For any technical et comparisons, both vehicles must be run on the same track, same day, and as closely timed as practical.

Spec sheets and forum posts do not win races, so this comparo is a waste of bits. Please post some videos of a side-by-side event.

Congrats on the numbers. But they seem low. I know different dyno's ready differently..blah blah blah.

But there are mazdaspeed3's pulling 300 on stock block.

Could you please elaborate regarding the boost creep issue. Are you trying to say that it's spiking uncontrollably?? What boost controller are you running?

-C

Apparently, seems like the issue is w/ the 28R and 30R. The wastegate housing is too small for bleeding boost fast enough. That is why we have creep issues. Also, my DNP Tubular manifold and the CP-E flash may also contribute to this. Externally wastegating this setup is probably the best way to resolve this creep issue. I would go w/ a 44mm instead of a 38mm though.

Seems like w/ the 35R, whoosh does not have creep issues but again, im not 100% sure how the wastegate on the 35r is designed. i sure as hell have bad boost creep.
Currentlt running on a 15lbs wastegate spring but with the mods in my sig, on a cool day I will see 23lbs easy. Very scary and dangerous imo. That is why my car is untunable as of now and running on a zeroed out map on the standback. Skyline is headed in the right direction w/ the external wastegate.

Seems like as time passes, we are getting more knowledgeable on how to make power on these cars.

Turbo upgrade guys need to keep exchanging info so we can make decent power!

***update***

In the interest to fund some of the tweaks and upgrades I am performing, I have some parts on ebay for sale in case you guys are interested. Thanks.

Like my man Ice Cube said, "Today was a good day!" CHECK OUT THE EXTERNAL GATE :)

Getting on the dyno on thursday with the external gate setup. Ordered an atv fmf 1.5" muffler for the dump tube on the external gate. They sound wicked. I will also do a quarter mile run on the dyno and take her to the track on saturday hopefully for comparison. The dyno has only a tenth of a second variance to the street. Also, for anyone running bigger turbo's on their speed, consider the hks 2 step colder plugs, 8's. They have brought my egt's down and the engine seems alot smoother under hard acceleration.

sorry all of you guys I witness a speed 6 doing 10.9 at the track! the info will be online soon!

love your sig!! That is hilarious!

Nice to see people building these things up but you won't see me doing that. I don't have money to burn. And if I did I would just get a BMW or Audi and be done with it. 135 or 335 BMW or Audi RS4. It is just way too much money to get the kind of power out of these things. But it is cool to see people that are doing it. Keep it up and keep us posted.

that coming from Mr. Pissed I blew my engine and quit
+ you are only posting that on 247 makes this funny actually roll on the floor funny

I'd love to see a speed 3 or 6 put down some times like you say

but I'll wait to hear that the car is not street driven and that the original DI set up is no longer used to accomplish the above mentioned 10.9ET

unless you were at an 1/8 mile track which makes your 10.9 "you witnessed" suck eggs lol

trust me when I say we'll all be waiting for the full write up and mod list so all of the hard work that went into that car can help the Mazdaspeed community move forward.
