Brake, TCS and DSC warning lights are ON
I am having the same problem and wanted to post it in the existing thread. My 2008 CX9 (GT) is just 7 months old with about 8k miles. I have noticed that the Brake, TCS off and DSC warning indicator lights are ON in the instrument panel. I noticed this 3 days back and its happening when I start the car and put the shifter into Drive. After driving a few miles, the warning lights go off. It happened this morning and also during my drive back home.
I stopped by the Dealer and surprisingly it did not happen then. The service guy told me that they cannot diagnose the problem unless the lights come back ON again and advised me to come back.
I'm wondering if other on this thread/forum found a resolution -if so, I can mention it to the dealer.

Was low brake fluid the problem in your situation? Yesterday my TCS along with brake lights came on. They will periodically go off but for the most part they stay on. Im going to have the dealer take a look, but was curious on how you ended up. Thanks
I was driving my son home from a soccer game today and my TCS Off & DSC light came on also. It was on wet pavment w/heavy leaves and I was in D mode while switching to M mode when it came on.
Turning the steering wheel back and forth did nothing. Holding the TCS-off button for 10sec also did nothing. It only turned off when turning the car off or when I put the car in N (neutral) and turned the car off (intermittant). Battery was never disconnected nor is my brake fluid low.
After starting the car again it comes back on and stays on. Its going to the dealer Monday if I can get in & I will report back my experience.
I am not a happy camper (pissed). This is bulls***....

So my previous experience went away mysteriously the next morning when I fired up the car for work. All lights went off as normal and all was cool until yesterday coming home from work. I got in my rig (it was raining by the way) and fired up the car and turned on the rear wiper. Right after that I noticed the TCS, wheel slippage, brake light and my oil warning lights were all on!!! Also my turn indicators didn't work, my hazard lights didn't work and the rear wiper didn't work after I noticed all the warning lights!!!
I tried resetting the TCS via the manual instructions and by turning the wheel back and for forth with no luck. So I drove it down to the dealer and dropped it off. Lucky for me all the warning lights were still on for the service manager even after he turned it on and off.
Any ideas? Could water moisture leaking in from someplace cause this? I did have my windshield replace this summer due to a crack and was concerned I had a leak. But its rained several times since then and never had any issues.
I have just hit 35K on my 08' AWD CX9 T. Not sure if they will cover any work or not. Isn't the factory warrenty only till 30K? (huh)

Ok, got a call from my Mazda dealership. Turned out to be a water leak like I suspected. A small amount of water was dripping on the main computer brain causing significant several malfunctions between systems (TCS, DSC, some electrical functions, other warning lights, etc).
Still waiting to find out where the leak is located. I suspect from the upper corner of the windshield near my VIN # as I noticed condensation forming up there prior to the malfunction occurring. Its at a special offsite shop to find the root cause of the water leak before the put in the new computer brain.
Thank GOD this is all covered under my B-B warranty!! I have 35K now on the car!! Wow that was a close one.......(argh)

OK, its almost strike three for Mazda!! I picked up my CX9 last Friday. My dealership didn't charge me a cent for the work performed (bill would have been $2500!!). They had my rig for a week and found water leaks on the LH bottom corner & the upper corner of my windshield as well in the LH front wheel well. These were all sealed up, the carpets pulled back and the interior dried as well as under the dash. The main computer brain was damged from water and that was replaced as well.
So, I drive home my rig all happy and feeling Zoom-Zoom like. The next morning I decide to try my TCS-Off switch to see if it works. Nothing....no idiot light illuminated on my dash. So, back it went.....hoping they just forgot to connect the TCS switch. Will report back when I get my baby back...

Low Brake Fluid
Had the same problem. 2008 CX-9 with 46,000 miles. TCS off light, squiggly line TCS, and brake warning light all on. Went through all the online posts. And the low brake fluid was the problem. Down about 8 ounces. Topped off the brake fluid (DOT-3) and the warning lights disappeared. All good now.
