Tail Lights

So I ordered these tail lights:

While I like the look of them already, I was thinking that adding a layer of Night Shade will complete the look that I am going for. I was wondering if anyone has done this already and could post a pic of it. With a black P5 would be best but what ever works.

check out rockblocker, they have smoked lens tint for the taillights
rednecks_r_us has them on his blue p5, they look good (the rockblocker not those taillights)

I have the same tails but went a different route than nite shades or rock blockers. I used smoked vinyl overlays from blue batmobile to cover the turn signal lenses. He also sells them for the reverse lights.

Rockblockers may not work w/those tail lights. They're a different shape than stock, and the rock blockers are made for stock tails. Trust me- I tried it and they didn't fit on the "altezza's" I had. I've since sold both the altezza's and the rock blockers.

^oh yea i forgot all about that, the "altezza" lights bubble out a lil on the top dont they

yeah they do, which is why IMO they look so much nicer

To each his own. I didn't like the look, that's why I sold mine. I saw a pair of black ones on a black P5 and it looked great, though. Guess it depends on your color (and tastes).

yeah im eventually going to get the rockblocker tint for my tails as well.. then hopefully will be gutsy enough to black out the headlights sometime this summer.

Don't they sell black headlights?

You just have to heat the headlights in the oven and pull out the chrome bezel sand it and paint it. It's and easy days work with letting paint dry in between coats but it's easy has hell to do. I have a blk 02 so I didn't like the chrome headlights. Pull the headlights out and paint them to match the color of your car. I think there is a how to somehwhere.

That fear is exactly why I haven't done mine, either. It looks so nice, but I know I'll break something and f-em up.

it's not hard, trust me, if i could do it, you can, and the results are very rewarding

You can always order bulk film and still do the job if you tails are a different shape than stock.
