Middle aged guy in a newer car. Living in the south of Sweden, close to Copenhagen. This sounds like a fishy ad... sorry. Like reading at this forum, not used to type in english...

Mods: CS testpipe, Cobb SRI, Forge Bov, SU rear m mount, Hotchkis sways, H&R springs, Ebs redstuff pads and a cg lock for the seat belt...
O.Z Ultraleggera with Toyo 888r 225/40-18

Here is a link to my first try at the raceway Mantorp Park this summer...

and another one to the Nurburg ring last summer:

The car is a 2007 and I have just blown my first motor... The dealer changed the bottom piece so now I have to break in a new motor again. The engine failure happend in 6th gear at low rews...

Regards Nick

Sorry for spelling...

Car looks great. RED with the gold Ultraleggeras look fantastic. Most engines that do blow are in higher gears and at low revs.

is that a prancing horse underneath your turn signal? if so, flagrant blasphemy

Its an elk (moose) standing like the more famous italian stallion... oh no not the Rambo actor...

Put it on to tease the Germans who are crazy about swedish elks...

My kids like it to...

damn, someone's got good eyes.

to the OP: welcome, & dig your ride. shame about the engine blowing in 6th gear AND at low speed. were you flooring/accelerating when it happened? i've heard that's the cause of some blowouts. if you were just cruising, man, that's some bad luck. glad the dealer took care of it, well most of it anyway...

flooring at the bottom at a hill... stupid, but sometimes you makes misstakes...

Welcome to the forums! It's always god to get a little different perspective on things from across the pond.

And I will now officially inform you that I hate your guts because you have access to so many wonderful tracks. Driving the Nurburgring has been a dream of mine since I got the first edition of the Gran Turismo video game. I've driven that track "virtually" so many times, it feels like I know it. So I am green with envy after seeing your video.

Hey Nick...this is Nick and I am 34+....don't be sorry...just rep-ra-zent!!! PT boost failure FTL though :(

Hi Nick, welcome to the forum, your 3MPS looks nice.

I'm probably going to take my MSP to Nrnbergring someday, probably not with sandals on my feet though. Isn't there anywhere you can lock away things there, so you don't have to bring your taxfree booze and handbags along the ride?

Welcome Nick!

How many kilometers were on your car when the engine went?

P.S. Thought it was blasphemy to drive anything other than a saab or volvo in Sweden? :)

Thanks for your kindness... Regarding the Nurburgring is there a lot of cheap hotells everywere, but this video is shoot the same day we were going back to Sweden...Thats why the car was fully loaded...but it still performed ok... The other video maybe dosen't say much but my lap times matched Carrera 4s, Cayman S, Corvette C5, BMW m3 and so on... The Focus RS was easy to follow... It wasn't a race event but a track day arranged by a motormagazine in Sweden... follow this link for pictures... http://www.automotorsport.se/trackday/trackday2009/

Best regard Nick

Sorry for spelling...

44000 km...

The Volvoracers started the prancing moose thing, thas true... and we have a lot of modified volvos and saabs around here, but mainly in the north of the country. Here in the south people are more international...'

Here I'm codriving with a former Le Mans driver in his 2009 c6... He drifted the whole lap...

It will probably be a while before I visit Nrnburgring, it is a 3 hour ferry trip followed by more than 1000km of driving to get there - each way. Thanks for the information though.

Please notice the difference between Nrnberg and Nrburg... Only the latter has a racetrack...(wrc)

You're absolutely right, my bad. Fixed my former post, still a long ways away though.
