What would i need to put the entire mp3 suspension on my p5???? Excluding the rims??? Also how much would this all cost?? And is it hard to install????

all around tokico shocks, front and rear sway bars, racingbeat lowering springs, and wheels usualy are included in suspension...so... 205/45-17's with 17" rims.

Dunno all about price, I'm lazy

figure about $1000 just for parts. for install, if you are good with tools, you should be able to install the sturts and springs and rear sway bar. but, front sway bar should be done by mechanic with a lift and 'know how', since it involves lowering the front subframe.

I've always wondered about this. The Racing Beat page says they had to modify the subframe to fit the larger sway bar. So did Mazda go with a slightly different sway bar (I don't recall if it was front or rear), is it just a tight fit but still possible, or are all Proteges changed to fit the larger sway bar? The line about changing the subframe is on the RR project mp3 page.

the rear modified subframe comes with the mazda kit. the front swaps out with no other modifications.

so when you get say, the AWR 21mm sway bars, I know it comes with modified endlinks, but what of the subframe...

O.K. Here's the deal. MP3 suspension does fit the p-5. (Remember a p-5 is a regular Protege after all.)Do a search! Oh, alright. Here you go. You MUST buy the struts and sway bars together. The strut tabs on the stock p-5 are weak and will break if you increase the diameter of the sway bar. The MP3 sway bars have this tab already reinforced, so do the ES Protege struts. I have the MP3 sway bars and stuts on my p-5 and it's the s#it! I did'nt get the springs because, well, quite frankly, I could'nt afford them. Maybe sometime after I get my tax return. :D Anyway, don't let anyone tell you they are hard to install. It's not all that hard. Just time consuming.

Rear subframe need's nothing. The struts do though. Watch out!
