My sub blew up like a month ago and i went to get it fixed right away. they ordered it... should be 2-3 days. well a month later and they still say its day to day... its on backorder... They had to order it direct from Kenwood because Mazda wont hook them up? WTF is all this s***?! I got a car with a bumpin system and now im ashamed to even play music in my car for ***** sake... If another sub blows, can I just ask them to give me money for a different sub? I mean, how much do you figure the unit costs them to order? Maybe I can get something that doesnt suck donkey cock instead? Anyone?

anything about the stereo, it gets ordered straight from Kenwood. MY head unit was as well. So was my speakers that were in the mp3 that were mysteriousy blown at the dealer one day.

i dont know what the mazdaspeed came with, but my mp3's sub sucked, I ditched it 10 minutes from the dealership.

i agree. an 8" sub isnt that expensive to replace, around $100, it it will probably be better than the kenwood the dealership will give you.

I think the Kenwood sub sounds great. I've had good luck I guess. Sorry to hear you guys are having problems. I hope I don't have the same situation. If anyone is changing out their sub I would pick something with the same efficiency.

If you want a new sub that rocks buy the new AUDIOBAHN 8" it sounds awesome. Hell of a lot better than this KENWOOD s*** Mazda put in the cars. P.s. probably woulnt be a bad idea to replace the little baby amp they threw in there. That thing gets pretty hot. It probably wont last long.

if had the money, id throw this kenwood stuff out the window and get the Audiobahn stuff!!! (oh man, those amps are HOT) BUT, i dont have the money! but hey, at least the kenwood stuff works, well, sort of works, ill live, even with the gain down the bass is still strong enough.

the bad thing about that is, I dont play it very loud etc, it exploded 'mysteriously' after an oil change was done at the dealer... Next time i bring my car into the shop, I am watching everything they do.

They will never give you money for a new sub as the replacements cost them nothing.
Kenwood has a no return sub replacement policy. Basicly they don't even need the blown one back, they just ship a new on e to you.

FYI - Going above 22 doesn't matter. That is not what blows a speaker. Distortion blows speakers.
