stupid relationship problem

so i broke up w/ this girl like right after summer in 2006 because i knew i was going to college and didnt want to waste time in a relationship cuz im going to college to learn and not waste time on girls

it was a retarded relationship and she is pretty crazy and did a bunch of retarded crap like cut herself, and she had all those eating disorders

sometime during college on of my friends told me she got married, idk if it was true or not but i really didnt care

so now she emailed me and i dont know how to respond

this is what the email said:

Hi, Jacob!

How are you? By the way, this is Annie. How's life? Well, take care. Hope you reply. Thanks I'd appreciate it. Hehe. Bye!

so wtf should i do? when we broke up i told her lets just be friends or some lame crap like that but that was a total lie, i didnt really want to be friends with her, she caused way too much problems and wasted too much of my money, yeah and she drove a honduh

so how can i respond? or should i just ignore it? or should i be an ass and spam her email?

and i dont know if its relevent or not, but for some retarded reason she invited me to gmail when shes emailing me at my gmail address. wtf?

yeah thats definitely what I would do too... just forget about it and ignore the message. Replying is just gonna start the whole thing up between you guys again and no one deserves to have a crazy female in their life!!! And the gmail thing was prolly actual spam.. like how they do on myspace or whatever. Pinching or something like that. I get those all the time. They are really annoying.

Whatever dude, she didn't ask you to sleep with her, it's just a 'hey, how are you doing?' email. Update her on your life and leave it there. Maybe despite what was clearly a crappy relationship with you she's been able to get past some of her issues.

its just over the summer i realized all the retarded things she did since i was away from her for a long time

Honestly though, for your own good... forget about it, ignore the e-mail and move on. I feel that I have some knowledge on the subject due to past experiences and just think that would be best, but do what feels right to you if you must. Live and learn I guess.

Sorry, I know my previous response was a little harsh, but cutting and eating disorders are commonly dismissed as "crazy" or "ridiculous," but they're actually pretty serious. My wife and I have both worked in the social services field for a few years now, and the teenage boys I see and the girls she sees often have these kinds of problems due to serious emotional and psychological issues usually caused by abuse, abandonment and neglect as children.

I'm not trying to preach, and I don't suggest getting into relationships with people who are struggling with these behaviors, but it's important to remember that they are for the most part hurting from damage inflicted on them in the past. It's good to keep in mind when you interact with someone who cuts, self-harms or has an eating disorder. They're not crazy, they just need some help.
