everyone knows about the rust on the bad ******* hubs of the p5, there was even a TSB about it.
mine were real ****** rusty but i figured it was just cosmetic and didnt worry about it.
anyways, coming home from the movies a few minutes ago, i notice that my steering wheel is shaking like a motherfucker. i slow down and start hearing bumping noises in the front drivers side wheel well. i get out and look and everything seems fine on the car.
i go down the road again, its getting worse. i get out and check the lugs on that wheel and theyre loose. the first thing that went through my mind was that while i was at the movies, someone tried to jack my s***. i retighten them and hope this works.
i get down the road a little more, and the noise starts again. me and my friend get out and i check them, theyre loose again. i retighten them REALLY ****** TIGHT, and a couple of them just keep turning, never really tightening til they stop. i take him home and drive back to my house.
i start hearing the noise again when i get near it, so i pull in, get out, and the lugs are loose again.
the only thing i can think is that all the ******* rust that were on the bolts that the lugs screw onto finally broke a couple of the threads to the point that the lugs wont get quite tight enough.
so, are the bolt's threads just rusted the **** out to the point where the lug wont tighten enough or can anyone think of anyhting else. i dont htink i can drive it to the dealer, they better send me a ****** truck to take it over there.
