I know it's my own fault but it still pisses me off. The title says it all. I am going to take a break and run and get a new nut while the stores are still open. Then I have to come back and try and get the nut off. Going to try some vise grips. Hope it works because nothing else has. Sorry just had to vent.

BTW I was installing SPool springs when I did this. Was doing the rears and driver side went fine but passenger side wouldn't budge. Well I tried my handy dandy new air tools and stripped the nut. It never budged one bit. Oh well look for pics of my car tomorrow lowered 2". I hope.

Bought them off another forum member. Waited for over a month for them to be in stock but they still aren't.

HELP!!!!!!
The nut is completely stripped and can't get it off. Not sure what to do . Any Ideas????

SOmebody Help/ Should I just cut the bolt and buy another endlink. This damn nut is just pealing apart at any attempt to turn it. HELPPPPPPPPP Once I get this problem fixed all I have to do is swap springs and I am done. I have all 3 other corners done w/no problems. Boy do I feel dumb!!! my confidence for working on cars right now is shot. Short shifter installation went fine and so did the other springs but then this one damn nut.

when putting the sway bar on Pro5onspeed's car I broke the head off the bolt in the mounting bracket that was provided

it wasnt tight enough, the threads on the new mounting bracket were s*** and the bolts not strong enough

didnt help I was using a 2 foot breaker bar to try and get it tight

we had to take off everything and put it back to stock, it was 2 am
the reason I wanted to tighten it more was that it was making alot of screwed up sounds the first time we drove with it

it was the second time I had the exact same sway bar

cut it off would be my first suggestion... but you could always try heating it up til it gets red.. depending onhow badly its stripped then hit it with something from behind while you try and wrench it out.... but really I'd just cut it..my friends civic had the same problem... he ended up just cutting it..

I came to the same problem when I did my springs Brandon. I used a long breaker bar and was able to get some leverage on it. Smaller socket wrench is going to strip it... You got no choice now. Cut it! :( Good luck!!

well dunno how much space you have but you can always use a small monkey wrench....anyways thats what i had to do cause i stripped the screw/nut that goes on the shifter bushings.....anyone know what the thread size and lenght is?

I just got some new air tools myself, and on the axle nuts on the wheel hubs, I still had to slightly use a breaker bar. The impact gun I have is only rated for 250 ft/lbs. It "gently" loostened the nut, and the breaker bar did the rest. That's how I kept from stripping my nuts.

As for the pics of the car. sorry but it's too dark and would be pointless to try and take them. I will take some tomorrow and post them. BTW I also tinted my taillights and sidemarkers and installed a TWM short shifter. Car went through some big changes.
