Stretching tires

So I just found rx8 wheels for DIRT cheap and I'm bout to pick them up this weekend..but do not want to change my tires. I have Goodyear Eagle GT 215/45/18 on the stock rims...Would it be ok to stretch the tires onto the rx8's?

If you have those on stock wheels then it will be less of a stretch to get them on RX8s...

Stock wheel is 18x7, the RX8s are 18x8.

Many run the stock size on the RX8 wheels. Not too much of a stretch, just less wheel protection. But fine to run, its within the tires spec for rim width range (7-8")
