hello... my car is very sluggish up until around 5500 rpms when it gets a sudden burst of energy which i dont think is boost... i cant even notice boost regularly... this is bothering me... any help and/or opinions on this matter would be nice. thanks

If you don't notice the boost, then yes, something is wrong...most likely a vacuum leak.

You likely have the hesitation... the flash can help this, but you still might have a noticeable amount... welcome to MazdaSpeed ownership.

just take the reference line off of the wastegate and drive it hard for a week using 87 octane....you won't have to worry about a hesitation anymore.............yes I'm kidding.

Make sure your running proper octane levels, and check/clean your plugs if your over 20k miles.
