Straight pipe any one?

I'm expecting some flak...

You gonna dyno it before and after? Some of us are still waiting on the real numbers with the AEM, you know... :D

I would recomend that only if the car had a turbo on it. It would cause your O2 sensors to never get to the correct temperature, they would foul, that would trigger a CEL and cause the car to go rich (Limp mode), that would foul the O@ sensor more and cause the problem to degrade...

I never had that problem when using an O2 cheater on my Focus. And as soon as a flash tool comes out we should be able to turn off the second O2 sensor.

Yeah I plan to dyno next week. Then I'm thinking about buying a Focus race header and custom make my own 2.5 exhaust.

may have asked this question before....how is the 2.3 placed in the focus cause the regular ones are ass backwards in the engine bay...that and other issues prevent their supercharger from directly bolting up.

They are the same as the Mazda3. And there were no problems with the various superchargers bolting on to the Focus 2.0L Zetec. Only issues were tuning.

if I remove the cats am I going to loose any torque?

You may get an absolutely horrid exhaust note though. Removing the cat's and putting on a draxas exhaust on the 6s makes the car sound like a giant fart cannon =/.

Get a turbo and ditch the cats. If you are N/A, run high flow and be happy, You need a bit of backpressure and heat for the car to run properly...

yeh heated exhaust gasses leave the system faster than cooled down exhaust gasses. V6 sounding like a fart cannon...thats a day I don't intentonally wanna see. as for the 2.3 supercharger...hood clearance was the main issue. call me crazy but what if someone Hypotheticly(Definant SP?) came out with a axle driven supercharger...would it still put the same amount of load (lose as much efficiency) on the engine vs the pullys?

It wouldn't work very good. The amount of boost would be tied to wheel RPM instead of engine rpm.
