stock STi BBS wheels

god, half the people who posted should read first.. anyway, if u are looking for a purchase (if u do test fit them and they do fit or u find out the offset) i know a wrx owner who knows many sti owners who would sell their stock BBS rims

for anyone that wants to try it.

he's in san diego and he's selling 05 sti wheels for 550 with tires with only 7500 miles on them. the reason it's cheap is because the wheels were scratched. he repaired them but says the powdercoat is a little off, but not noticeable. **** it, put those two on one side and no one will notice.

The tarmacs are definitely not the STi's stock wheels.

Woops, my bad. They must be some sort of option on the STI b/c almost every STI I see online is sporting either the Tarmac I or II's

Replicas?
as far as i know Rota's arent replica's
Check out subiedude.com

Rotas are replicas. The Subzero is Racing Hart CP035 replica, the Slipstream is a Spoon wheel replica, etc. Not saying they are bad rims. I like my Subzeros, but they are most definitely replicas.

^^^yup. they're all replicas. the circuits are mugen replicas, rota torques are the work emotions, and the list goes on...

These rims will not bolt on to the car. The back is just way too wide. The only way I figure these will fit is if you cut away at the fender and put an over fender in its place. Also extended wheel studs and wheel spacers will be needed. The front looks like it would fit if you ran extended studs with spacers but the clearance would be extremely close and the fenders will most likely have to be rolled.

i dont understand sti owners. They are getting rid of forged bbs rims for ghey ass rotas. 4 rotas are worth 1 bbs....

i know my hubby wants to get rid of his for some bronze rotas. i think it would be better to just get them dipped (dunno)

Tell him to get them powdercoated rather than buying new Rotas. The stock STi BBS rims are much better than the Rotas. I'm not saying the Rotas aren't good wheels (I have C10s on my P5), but the BBSs are forged while the Rotas are cast.

THE MATRIX: 3rd Generation Proto's

Mazda Protege5 fitment guide

215/40/17; 215/35/18
-------------
7.0" +45 and higher
7.5" +48 and higher

205/40/17
-------------
7.0" +42 and higher; Barely making it
7.5" +48 or higher, the +45 still worries me with this width on a 205.

This was in the sticky at the top of the page :)

I think I know the answer but I just wanted to confirm whether the 05+ BBS rims on the STi would fit a Pro5. Bolt pattern is 5x114 and the rim is 18x8 but I don't know the offset. I might be able to pick up a set at a decent price from a friend later on.

i read some were that the bolt pattern was 5x100 for the STi rims but you work with guys with STi's so i could be wrong.
