Hmm, so linux's rods and pistons are aluminum but they clang a bit...Why don't we get forged iron/steel/chromoly ones made so they're more streetable?

the pistons for street /strip use that can handle higher cylinder pressures from F/I and the heat associated with it needs to be as lite as possible without sacraficing strength. that is what forged aluminum pistons from JE and many others provide.

Right, but forged steel wouldn't be any heavier than stock really, would they? They'd just be stronger...
It just seems like a good comprimise to me.
