my stichiometer (i dono how to spell it) it always jumps back from lean to rich wen im driving and wen im stoped,,,, BUTT!!! sometimes its stays right at stichiometric(right in the middle) but thats only on certain days, so i figure i need to get my air fuel ratio back on track

b4 my car was hisitating alot with 3000+ rpm but ever since i took it into the dealer for a software update it works good, but sometimes it still does it

so i need help finding a place that does air fuel ratio in edm.... any ideas?

is it a wideband o2 or do u just have a air/fuel ratio gauge hooked up to the stock o2?

its on the pillar wide band but its always going back and forth but sometimes it says right in stichiometric

i don't believe Stewart Warner sells a wideband A/F gauge. With a wideband gauge, you have to install a new O2 sensor, and maybe some other stuff i'm not sure. It will give you a consistant reading, usually in the form of a number. A narrowband A/F gauge (like my stewart warner, and i'm assuming like yours as well), just takes one wire to hook up, and will fluctuate constantly unless you're under full throttle (at which point it should be pegged to rich) or if you've let off the gas in gear (at which point it should be pegged to lean). Sorry to tell you, but its basically worthless, and a $50 lightshow. I wish i had saved some more money to go ahead and get a wideband (like the AEM Uego gauge).

Ocasionally mine seems to 'get stuck' right in the middle, honestly i have no idea why though. Usually if i turn the car off and start it back up it goes back to normal.

And also, FWIW, even if there was a place near you that can tune air/fuel ratios, thats impossible on your car without some type of engine management (search AFC, Unichip, MPI, or Microtech for more info on that).

i would be happy if it read stichiometric... that is how it should be granted its impossible... heh (friday)

I don't think you will have much luck finding an unflashed ECU or someone who has one that wants to swap.

On the other hand, I think you will have no problem running 8psi with a flash ECU though. Just buy some supporting mods for it, eg: exhaust, downpipe, or better yet EMS.

btw, it should be spelled TEIN not TIEN for your springs.

your s*** is fine.

the design of the system is to switch from lean to rich, and it averages it.the average is 14.7,but in reality,it's not actually there.

the reason for it is you cat has to have oxygen to function properly, but to much and the car will detonate.so switching it does
