I had the same problem Saturday actually. Holding the faceplate didn't work for me. I went over to circuit city, and the guy pulled out the cd player (I had the dash apart anyway installing sirius), and unplugged it and plugged it back in 30 secs later. Worked just fine.

this happened to me as well, if pushing the top l corner doesn't work, disconnect to battery and reconnect. it will reset and flip back open.
