Steering wheel peal

16.5, The leather on the steering wheel is pealing where I hold it the most, at 12 o'clock.

Known problem?

The dealer said the steering wheel has another year on top of the 3 year warranty Mazda gives and they will install a new one.

My 16.5 was peeling to. I hated that it happened so early.

Yes it’s a known issue and here’s the TSB:

TSB 06-001/17 - LEATHER STEERING WHEEL SURFACE WEAR / PEEL

Unfortunately you’re out of the new car warranty, and the TSB won’t help you for the problem. But if the dealer says you have an additional 1 year warranty on leather steering wheel, go get it replaced soon.

it will,they give another year of warranty on it.they ordered it today should arrive in two weeks time.
btw whats all the tsb׳s the 16.5 has?
