Mazda Protege LX
I got a 99 LX, and I'm finding it really difficult to find a steering wheel hub so that I can get an aftermarket steering wheel...I've gone straigh to mazda just to see if the hub from the MSP or maybe an earlier year protege fits mine, but I'm not having any luck. Does anyone know where I can find a hub online? Please help!

I have a 00 LX and I'm having the same problem - and I want to put a quick-release on there too. If I find anything, I'll let you know.

It looks like they might have one at www.corksport.com It says it requires modification to work with airbag-equipped cars, but I'm not sure exactly what the mod would be(something easy I hope).

yeah I saw the corksport one, but it's not a quick release. I wanted the same thing as you. I saw that a MSP from Modified MAG had a quick release, but Mazda dealership said that I dont have the same hub as the MSP...Sucks to be me...

I think if you get one of the adapter hubs and then also a quick-release, it'll work. I've seen people on eBay selling steering wheels, adapters, and quick-releases all as one package.

I went to my local tuner shop today and asked about a Protege hub, the guy that runs the shop said it's as easy as finding out if my steering wheel is a five hole or a six hole. But is it really that easy? I'm having such a hard time...I need a new steering wheel so bad right now.
